Worst winter stormy week/weekend of the year pretty much... kind of bizarre seeing as it is March.

I basically maximized my lesson burns over the weekend by clearing my camp (15ish mins) logging and going to do other things in real life. Probably amounts to 4-5 more AA total than if I had waited for respawns and done a steady grind. So maybe 2 hours of play in game total.

I'm not getting much done in the game at the moment... I've had no desire to play alts and my necro is at 1275 AA at level 75, holding steady waiting for my brother's new ranger to get some levels/aa. Soon I'll be buying semi-fluff AA at the rate he is going.

One goal is the rest of my faction and the vrenlar fruit for my OoW chest piece. I have the Jayruk's vest in the bank so I think that is all I need to finish it.

I fired up the Mac client for the first time ever on Friday, spent most of my weekend grinding out some levels and such on a new beastlord. Something about this server just feels right, and I'm loving it so far. Currently sitting at level 32 and having little trouble finding a group.

Same scenario where I live. It supposed to be "dry season" (southern caribbean-Trinidad) yet it rains almost every day..The sky was so dark grey all weekend that it reminds me of Toronto/Canada in winter more than the caribbean.

In EQ, I only played on Sunday but played 3 sessions for maybe 5-6 hours total. Powerlevelled my Bard alt to 73 (0 aas lol) in Loping Plains, but I realize that it will take a monumentous amount of time to learn the unique nuances of the Bard class. So for now I'm not sufficiently skilled with the class to confidently group him with real peoples as yet.

Sunday night, my SK and Shammy grouped with my two new returnee friends in Valdeholm for about an hour and a half. The aaxp was poor for me as the higher lvl mobs were at the bottom of light blue for my chars (both 90) but my friends both got a level and some (to 84 and 85 respectively).

Later on I added my Bers. alt to the mix and we went to Korascian Warrens again and got the rest of their solo tasks done for their J5 mercs. Just the group mission Murdunks Last Stand to do so hopefully by next week we could move on.

Like Snailish last week, my traders spent more time loggin in than me actually playing. But I got some of my rubbish/junk sold so all in all not a bad weekend.Smiley: blush

Spent most of the weekend camping the Jade Chokadai Prod. In about 8 hours, the dude never spawned (though I got the other named 3 times). That was annoying, but I spent my time slaughtering sarnak, so it wasn't wasted. The sarnak are opposite Legion of Cabilis, which was great. I need that faction to be able to do the crugel quests on my barb shaman. By Sunday, I was out of KOS range, to dubious. Then I gathered up my bone chips, about 2628 (roughly) and proceeded to spend the next bit of time turning them in to the trooper at the Cabilis gates. He gladly took them all, and some 657 faction hits later, he was indifferent. However, I was still scowls to the crusaders. /sigh. That was disappointing. I knew that likely wouldn't get me out of KOS range, but I was hoping to be threatening.

Trying to find a nice necro in my guild who's willing to flesh to bone for me about 10000000000 times, so I have enough bone chips to be able to do that quest.

Found out Sunday that the Lavastorm quests for the nice ring (the firey ore quest, and there's 3 others similar) were active on Vulak, so I did all those. 3 of the pieces were upgrades for my shaman. Woot.

Sunday afternoon, I gathered for the raid, but unfortunately, it was cancelled for lack of clerics. So I created a new cleric to PL and found out that the tutorial was active on Vulak as well. So I ran him thru the tutorial (after twinking him up a bit) and finished that last night. Gonna head over to Paludal next, and get some more quick levels.

Not much EQ this weekend. Shopping Saturday and a lot of jumping around on toons Sunday. The only one that got leveled was my young SK and he only gained one. Did manage to level my monk last night which gets me one step closer to having him wear the next defiant set that I have saved up for him.

Not much EQ this last week / weekend. I did play a bit Saturday and got a few AAs. Speaking of the Cabilis factions, I read somewhere and it seemed like it may be true from my exp, that being maxed on one of the ones raised by the bone chips (mine was the same one the goblins raise), that it no longer gives faction increases to the others. It may have just been I was so negative on them, but after around 6-8000 bone chips, I hadn't moved from indifferent (I think with guards, and still scowling with the crusaders), and still only showing max on the one faction. I had planned on doing another 8Kish to be sure, as that should max me on the other factions as well, just never have taken the time to do it.

Also, I was thinking it was 8hr respawn on the named for the Prod, and I usually try to get some clickies. In particular, I remember an Insta-click See Invis off one of the sarnaks in the fort for a good trash buff. If you have a Dru also, the part(s) for the vs plant spell quest drop in the fort.

Octavia played quite a bit, and got some SoD upgrades for both of us. Finally got Yther a much better dps weapon than Epic 2.0. I had a slightly better dps one, but similar stats. The new one looks like a HoT weapon with 900+ HPs and descent AC.

I hoping to play some more, just have to get over whatever is making me so tired. Been sleeping whenever possible last week and half. First few days I just figured it was 'cause the week before was so busy with out-of-town appointments nearly every day, some of them all day long ones. But if that was the case, I should of been over it after a few days. Oh well.

Have fun everyone!

Yther Ore.

Been back in, rolled up a bard on Firiona Vie and got her to 48 within a couple of days (server xp bonus plus chant kiting = $$$$).

Been messing around in Blackfeather Roost, trying to find some way to kite the Hungry Spider that drops the Blackfeather War Drum without 40 bears getting the kill. Oddly enough, I'm not having too much trouble landing chants on mobs 10 levels higher than me with a Thunderous Drum of Karana, it just takes forever to kill them with my DoTs only ticking 200 a tick.

Thinking about rolling a necro, they have it a lot easier with kiting, I feel. Watched one at 55 kite down a puma in about 1/8th the time it took me to do so. Granted, level differences and whatnot... but still. I'm pretty sure her rogue pet was doing as much dps as my chants were...

No EQ time this week since I just came back, but I hope to create a new alt tomorrow to entertain myself for a while...hopefully, I'll enjoy the game as much as I did 5 years ago Smiley: lol

On a side note...my posts are totally short :P

Blackfeather roost is a necro candyland for a huge level range. I found the island with the harpy nobles to be particularly good 60-65 (and still decent for AA after that) without hotzone status.

Bards are loved in the group game, necros have to work much harder (i.e., making friends) to have a place in that... so it depends what you want to do (level/content/solo/playstyle wise).

Welcome back, whatever you decide to do. :)
