last time I played DoN was still new,so where should a lvl 70 ranja,600aa hunt/solo for new armour now that I see hp & ac has gone crazy up?what must have quests should I research?Tunare/7th hamma

"Plane of Fire" C1 camp is a favorite ranger sweetspot at 70 for headshotting for massing aas. POF C2 if you got the key (headshot relevant)aas maxed and "decent" gear.
There wouldnt be a place to solo for an upgrade of gear at 70. If your gear is below 300 h/m/e a piece then the "defiant gear" that sells dirt cheap in Bazaar would suffice till 80 where you can access the HOT t1 Abstruse gear and progress to current content from there.
The "Elegant Defiant" gear (70-80 lvl range) drops globally from mobs. Generally, almost any lvl 72 and up mob -iirc- could drop the elegant Defiant gear..lower mobs could drop the lower lvl "defiant" gear..You could consider the "defiant" gear as filler gear to get you to lvl 80 in the current game.
The Abstruse (HOT t1- 850 ish h/m/e) gear is tradeable but upgraded through the progression arc of HOT.All of the details of progression are on this sites front page to the right side. Its an excellent guide of the quests/missions and how and where to get your container to combine(non tradeskill)the t1 piece with a "remnant"(dropped from named mobs etc)to upgrade the armor. When the Abstruse gear is fully upgraded to HOT t4 lvl gear, its stats would be in the 1600ish h/m/e range.

Wow, Plane of Fire is actually a farming spot now? I've been away since EQ2 launched, and have finally decided to come back (yay $20 Station Access)...seeing Plane of Fire being called a farming/solo zone is kinda funny now hah

It was an experience spot before you left. The first persons to 70 on Druzzil Ro, did it in PoF in about 7-8hrs, when OoW came out, which was a few months before EQ2 launch. I too left during EQ2 beta, but came back after the first expansion release in EQ2.
