Weekend Update, Feb. 20t, 2012 holiday for someFollow

Hadn't played much the past two weeks, but got some time in this week and weekend. Been spending alot of time getting upgrades for toons. The Abstruse HoT gear is pretty awesome, considering the Ranger was in a mix of 70s raid gear, and 75-80ish group gear. Octavia got my Rogue to 69 and a 100 or more AAs, which was nice. Yther got solidly into 81, and about 60 AAs. Still way behind with all the newer lower level AAs available. I'm hoping to try out some Headshotting this week, and see how it goes. At first glance, when it happened, I wasn't too upset with the nerf, but after realizing they lowered the level you can kill at ranks, but added more ranks you could buy at a level, I didn't like it. Then after trying it out, I really didn't like it. I was used to using Hail of Arrows line of spells, and constantly cycling through targets so I never had to turn autofire back on. With the new system, you'll never get a proc, 'cause you're on a different target before the arrow lands, so never targeted on the possible proc mob, thus no proc.

Almost maxed Anatomy on the Rogue, and can't wait to try out some Assassinations and see how that goes.

I felt pretty good about tanking on Yther, although the content wasn't really difficult (LP Worgs), other than being on the old, slow computer that can't render correctly. Most textures are translucent, and water textures take precedence in the foreground over any other blocking texture, so it's very difficult to navigate. Only benefit of it, is you can see mobs through walls and stuff, but that leads to alot of trying arrow something you don't have line of sight on.

Also, bought 4 good augs from the Faycitum merchant. I probably need to figure up all my mod2s and see what's low. I remember with the older equipment, I was way shy of max on avoidance, but had most shielding maxed or near max, but that has probably changed alot with the newer equipment, especially with the loss of alot of mod2 slot 8 augs. I hadn't realized I had so few good slot 7 augs, since Yther has been wearing mostly raid armor for so many years. The Faycitum augs were all slot 7 or 8, which was nice.

Well that's about it. A lot of time grinding, and alot of time getting equipment upgrades, pretty much sums up my weekend in game.

Spent Friday and Saturday in a narcotic haze, while pushing pain levels in pt for my knee replacement. Did so well they sent me home a day early. Spent Sunday in a partial narcotic haze while watching TV, looking at web sites, and pt on the knee.
Elne drove me to lab today for blood draw then had her first "accident" with the car when she backed into a stanchion on the pharmacy parking lot. No damage to the car, and truth be told I have hit it once or twice myself. Spent the afternoon watching Band of Brothers on spike tv.

I had tried it out for about 30mins, and it never worked. I had to stay on target to get a proc. I will try it again when I get around to it though. Maybe was just a really long fluke of the random number generator. If that's the case, then it won't be so bad.

Re-subbed sometime within the past two weeks, spent the weekend sick as a dog, struggling once again with my altitis.

Then, my trial accounts (which I was using to box with) expired, and I decided to roll a Bard on Firiona Vie. I don't have a huge amount of time in which to play anymore, so enjoying the server XP boost is nice.

Leaving to visit home on Monday. Looking forward to it, but also looking forward to the inception of f2p on the 1st.
