I hadn't been in-game for almost a year, so the description wasn't as complete or as accurate as it could have been. Here is a better, since I'm finally back in-game:

Hit B key, to bring up the bandolier window.
Uncheck Auto Swap
Place what items you want in your inventory window (I key by default), not the bandolier window.
When you have the items you want in the slots, close it, so you can see the bandolier window again, and select a set, named or not, and click the Add button and give it a name. If it was already named, it will delete it and add the new set.
Repeat for all the sets you want, then select each one and click the Hot Button button to make a button (or manually make a macro using the /bandolier Activate set_name command.

Hopefully this explains it better.

awsome that worked, 1 more question i set my bandolier for drum and string, i then made a /melody 1 2 hotbuttn caled songs i click on hotbutton Songs and it constantly keep playing the two songs untill i click that hotbutton to stop the songs, 1st song is percussion and 2nd song is string, now before i added the instruments to the bandolier i was able to run both songs constantly without any insruments, now i know how to add the instruments to my bandolier, hotbutton drum and hotbutton string while those songs are playing, Now i need to keep clicking on the hotbuttons switching out my instruments as my sngs are playing? if so then that means i need to keep eye on mob im fighting and the casting time window to time my switching my instrumens out ( instruments hotbuttons set up thru bandolier) ? lol thats alot of work espeically if you run a (example /melody 1 2 3 4) and say each of those 4 melodies, each one uses a diff instrument, so i have to make 4 bandolier sets then the 4 Hotbuttons, drum, percusiion, string, wind and brass

also why is it im able to play a percussion (drum) song and a string(guitar or whatever its called lol) song with out any instruments?

very sorry everyone dont mean to be pain in butt asking questions all time, im new t eq and really loving the game just need the info of what i dont understand and i do search the websites of everythng i can try to find before comming here and asking my questions when i cant find the answers from websites. Im very thankful you al here are helping me 100%, its awsome

Yes it is alot of work. Even if you set it up how I said in the previous post, of
/pause 3,/bandolier Activate Drums
/pause 3,/cast 1
/pause 3,/cast 1
for a percussion song and
/pause 3,/bandolier Activate Strings
/pause 3,/cast 2
/pause 3,/cast 2
for a string song, you'll still be pressing alot of keys. That's why I said, just keep the primary instrument while fighting (although I wasn't real clear as I was in a hurry on that post), and ignore other instruments, until you get more equipment with mods. Once you get mods for everything, I just use instruments again for the primary one, as usually the instruments have a better mod than any of my armor or jewelry.

Your epics 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 all have an all instrument mod, so as long as you have one of them equipped, you'll always be getting a mod on everything. /Melody is great, but doesn't support what you want with auto instrument swapping. :(

Before melody and bandolier, Bards were the busiest toon to play. Many bards really impressed me back in the day, being able to chain pull, cycle 4 or 5 songs, and chat (wtf, how do you type when you're pressing keys or clicking the mouse constantly?). :)

Hope this helps,

Which songs, although it shouldn't matter, it might. Are you fizzling on them? That's the only thing I can think of off hand, without looking at the specifics for why they wouldn't play.

And sorry, I misread it as you just couldn't get the instruments into the slots.

Level 1 song is called Battle Chants (prcussion)

Le vel 2 songis Chords of Dissonance (string)

now both of these songs i setup a /melody 1 2 hotbutton and when i press the hotbtton it WILL PLAY constantly till i press the hotbutton again to stop the songs, the deal i dont understand is both these songs will play WITHOUT Instruments at alll on me ( none in bandolier, none in my invenotry or backpacs, i put the instrument in th e bank and try to play both f those songs and they both played when i hit the /melody 1 2 hotbutton

You are suppose to be able to play any song without any mod. You only need mods to be able to skill up and also to enhance the attributes of the song (with the exception of haste / slow songs, and maybe one other type). Run speed, damage, stat boost, etc. all get 1+mod/10 times the bonus, so if your best string mod is 5, it will improve your string song attributes to 1.5 times the listed attributes.

I hope that's what you wanted to know, that is, why do songs play without any mod or instrument?
