I was wondering if there was a way to make it so, that when I played a dwarf berserker, the character that I see on my client is, say, a drakkin?

Hi,

I'm not 100% sure of this, but believe you can outright change a characters race on the Loyalty Vendor in POK just n.w of the Crescent Reach portal and it may also be available in the marketplace.

Sex change is available by at least one of the above methods mentioned (no pun/fun intended)Smiley: grin

Good luck.

Not really what I meant. I want to be a race/class combo that doesn't exist.

Ah ok,

That I know is not possible at the moment. Mainly because most gear has the race/class limitations hardcoded into it and the "scarce" devs don't spend the extra time to fix so much of the little things/bugs nowadays. Farless new ideas..sadly.

Yes, but it requires using 3rd party software that can get you banned. According to what I have read only you will be able to see the changes. Since I dont think changing the way you look to yourself is cheating Google this: MQ2SetRace.

You're right that changing models so only you see them differently is not cheating. But the use of MQ2 IS considered cheating.

And with SoE's new anti-cheat police running around, I'm sure they're looking for MQ'rs.

There is a way you can edit the globalload file to make race changes that are purely aesthetic (meaning no effect in the actual game), but I believe that method won't work either because the way EQ patches it will notice a difference in the globalload and copy over it when you log into EQ.

If you want to play specific race/class combos that aren't in the live game, you pretty much have to be on an Emu server.

Sorry, I won't explain Emu if you don't know, but as I see it, that's pretty much the only way you'll have the combo you want.

do the marketplace racechange to be a Troll and you won't need any other race change or illusions...

More seriously, what everyone else posted is spot-on.

I play a wood-elf necro and beastlord thanks to the crown of deceit. There's a few other all/all illusions out there (some requiring significant effort on regular servers to get).

As for Drakkin... I think potions are your only route. To me clicking a potion every time I zone is easier than messing with gamefiles every time I login --but the OP may feel different.
