I'm bored...Follow

#1 Oct 16 2011 at 3:24 AM Rating: Good
I logged into my wizard tonight.. Wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my evening. I need something new to do. Perhaps create another alt, to see if my love of EQ is refreshed. I guess I'm just looking to make more friends. Playing solo as a wizard gets tired and boring. Since my wizard is on Firiona Vie, I can't exactly transfer servers. So, I'm looking to start fresh. What I'm looking for is a friendly guild, ones who occasionally raid (but do not require you to come 3-4 times a week), lots of grouping, etc. I love the raiding and grouping aspects of the game. I'm not a hardcore raider, since I'm a full-time college student. I really do not have the time to raid as I did when I was younger. Such is life, I guess.

Anyway, let me know any suggestions. Thanks!

Eubdeyen recently posted about recruiting on Drinal .

On TLP progression Vulak server there is the Mel's guild <The Golden Age> that has posted on these boards a bit, maybe a member or two could chime in this thread with an update?

My brother got me to move most of my character to FV to help him... it's does appear to be a soloing a lot server (but we're 65-70 and hardly playing so of course it will feel empty to us). I've been torn as to what to do with my random urges to play when my brother isn't around --rerolling doesn't seem to stick (I have level 1-13ish wizards on 5-7 servers now).

As for servers... Povar is decent. Jonwin and Alwayslost's mains are mostly (all?) there. I have some chars left there but nothing I want to play (laughs....). Vinney plays on zek, but that's PVP and apparently extremely low population now. That's all the regular alla people I can name off the top of my head --but maybe Yther, Az, Amast and countless I am forgetting could offer insight too.

My last attempt was going back to TLP Vulak and rolling a cleric... but I didn't even make it to level 2. Good luck in whatever you end up doing Missjackie.

Thank you for the reply!

I was thinking of rolling on Vulak. I've heard rumors that there's botting (as in hacking/cheating) on the progression servers. I'm not sure how true these rumors are, so I'm more than willing to try them out.

You might also want to check out jmeajh's post on a new guild recruiting on FV. It was founded as exactly the type of guild you describe.

When I return to EQ sometime in November, would enjoy my Druid grouping with your Wizard. I duo'ed with a Wizard before I left and they were an awesome combo.

And if you're bored, you can come help me pack for my RL move. *grins*

I miss FV daily.

But part of the last straw for me (it was a complex, multi faceted straw) was how empty FV felt, even then, compared to when I started there in January 2003. It's fun to play alone when you want to, it's soul crushing when you are looking for people to interact with.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

No real helpful suggestions unfortunately, but I wish you the best on your hunt for a home. I know how the long term fun can suffer if you don't have some people to regularly pal around with.
