Essential change of Caster epic IFollow

#1 Oct 04 2011 at 7:02 PM Rating: Good
I think Epic I 's for casters should be useable for both hands. For stats clicks and focus.

Magician should have epic I PET scale up with level of Magi Like PET=61 when Magi is 63 up to max 68 Magi=76.

Necromancers need a revamp. Theri erpic 1 is a dot snare But noone can fear kite at that level all uses Agro-kiting.
So it needs to be instant. Most would gladly sacrifice 15 sec. on duration of clickie.
If resist would be better like the 61 spell. Maybe 6 sec more OFF.

Clerics should have theirs grant a " No Ressurection effect" to target also should restore 1k Health and Mana
for Pure Mellee 3k Health : At cost of exp = 89% .

Thank you for an original post, not a necro post. I think I know the gist of your comments, though it did take me three reads.

I wish you success in your future posts.

I said I was sorry re: the necro post and didn't look at the date first before posting. I was actually not the necro poster but the second response after; however, since you didn't reference the necro poster, I assume you were chastising me. Geez!

EDIT TO ADD: Please accept my apologies for jumping to conclusions, Jonwin. Please see my response to Greenshag as to why I was a bit befuddled.

Azalysa, I think Jonwin was in fact referring to MageBlaster, as he is the one who necro'd the other thread.

Jon was giving him/her props that they formed a question that was (paraphrasing here) "original and thought-provoking, even though the posts we've seen from him are mostly unintelligible and confusing".

Ok, I REALLY need to get new glasses...lol. I didn't even realize MageBlaster was the person who necro'd the other thread as I quoted and replied to the original post/er. Jonwin's statement makes sense now with that "back story" of which I was not aware, ie. former posts from this individual.

My most humble and sincere apologies, Jonwin, and many thanks to you, GreenShag for clearing that up.

Green shag was correct. Master Blaster necro posted on more than one thread and received a warning from Kao about that.

Epic 1.0 dumb drops should be available from ldon points vendors... that fixes all the foolish (unneeded) bottlenecks caused by farmers. Slight derail, but more important than upgrading items that are 10 years out of date as an equipable-all-the-time thing.

The epics themselves should be equipabble in more slots since primary hand is the one that gets upgraded so nicely so often... even just being able to "shrink" the epics into an earring via a quest turn in would provide some flexibility.

the coming soon (tm) epic appearance for your weapon (I'm forgetting the goofy name for the items you apply to change a weapon's look atm)are actually more appealling to me than upgrading the present epics. --It's the look of the chanter snake-stick I like, not the stats.

Should the 1.0's be better than level 60 aimed defiant? Of course. Again, to preserve progression (and future progression) a turn in quest npc should be added to an accessable at 60 zone that matches up with the defiant era (in other words, lock it behind the right expac).

rate-ups all around by the way... for a thread started well and the support given to the OP! :)

I have thought that making the epic an augment could be an interesting idea to keep them usable.

Snailish I rated you up as well. Great idea about the ldon vendors having the drops for epic 1.

In 1999 when the level cap was 50 and soon after when Kunark and the epics came out, Fear kiting was the only kiting Necros did.

The epic effect matches the playstyle of the era.

I agree with Reyla, though the casting time getting reduced and the cooldown increased (if necessary) wouldn't be a bad change. I'd bandolier my duckstick just to cast it out of principle if it wasn't such a long cast, even though the damage is minor for the scale of where I am at (level 70).

Playing (at times) my necro on FV, there is several better clicky dots readily available for the 60-70 necro. For the 50-59 necro not so much (there's a couple of goofy direct damage ones though), but then that is the content where those items would be really overpowered. I remember when (lol) my demi-lich skullcap was insanely strong for what I was kiting. On a regular server where the raid drops aren't tradable you have fewer options for acquiring these kind of items at the level you actually want to use them... but, if you have high level friends, it is possible to "go along for the ride" and hunt up some clickies.

Thanks for replies !!.
Thanks to snailish for suggesting LD ON points to be used for bottlenecks.

Re reply to Reyla. Necromancers have to wait until like 66 before they get a new fear spell: And that one i think is limited
to 61. And with mobs of new expansions tougher higher magic resistant. It is rather hard to deal with possible adds.

--Here snailish seems to agree that a "cooldown" would be accepteble.
Thanks to snailish again regarding Demi-Lich Skullcap . I think I read about it, before I quit. It is a qlickie lifetap from Kunark
right?

:: With Run3 AA and Snare you can run in close circles. Thus preventing adds.

Magician Epic 1 pet has innate sow, high magic resist AND an AOE blast spell too .

It gonna be fun when I start again. Soo easy now.

Just hope theese changes will take effect when I am of appropiate level. SO to enjoy them then.
