Trying to buy the game o_OFollow

I played everquest a loooooonnnnngg time ago when it first came out.. stopped playing shortly after kunark came out.

Tried the game for a few months when ldon was released but work caught up to me and haven't played since.

Looking to get back into the game because I'm pretty dissatisfied with the current MMO market and I always had fond memories of exploring EQ w/o any dungeons to raid or hurry up and farm this quests.

So looking to get back into the game and just explore and have fun

I'm having really bad luck with the sony website and haven't been able to find a phone number or live chat link on the website.

Basically i have a couple questions... is everquest digital download only now?

If so what is the best place to buy it?


Luckily I still remember my logon.. (i use the same for every mmo.. i know i suck at security ;p) never been hacked tho :D

I'm pretty sure you can get EQ via "Steam".

I think you can also buy the digital download through amazon.

If you do buy... buy the latest expac "House of Thule" as it includes everything prior.

I came back in February, I reactivated my account and ran the patcher... took a few hours but I got the whole game back. I foggily recall doing this off the accounts page.

I finally managed to get through the sony system to reactivate my account.. It dropped me a good two or three times.

still haven't decided whether to buy the latest part of the game... but I still have the first two expansions registered from long ago.

Made a character and I was starting to get the hang of moving about and killing stuff before I logged off.


I can't remember what UI I used way back when.. does anybody have any suggestions for a decent UI?

I'm not sure that 45 days was open ended. I think it was granted to everyone from the time they came back up and until 45 days had elapsed. AFAIK, it's not 45 days from when you logged in and it's not for new accounts.
