How to Get to Council Chamber in Library?Follow

I'm trying to get to the top floor of the Library in PoK - to the Council Chamber for the beginning of a quest. Apparently there is a button somewhere that summons an elevator to go to that area. I have been running all around the library for the last two hours and I give up.

Anyone know where that button for the elevator to the Council Chamber of the library is please? Thank you in advance. :)

Where you enter the Library, and you have to go either right or left (N or S) through a doorway, the elevator is on the opposite side of that wall (West), so go to the right (N) doorway to Mystic Abomin (looks like Otter, and can find with Find, Ctrl+F)), then head S and in the middle of the wall on your left (East) is the elevator and the button for it. Best to have a levi on just in case, as falling from the top or near the top will kill you.

Once again you've been of great help, Yther. :) One of those things that, once found, I was like...ok, how did I miss this in two hours. :/

PoK library is a pain sometimes. Some spells that are shared by multiple classes are on one of the merchant types you'd least expect. At times Find has been bugging, even starting it in the library, but not on the same level as the NPC, which if you are on the same level, you can usually find them without Find. :-/

I wasn't sure, but I have died from falling of it before, and don't think I've ever went up or down it since without. If they did fix it, would make bazaar crashing and resetting your trader to bind alot better. I remember people dieing alot in PoK from walking out of the bazaar and falling off a step trying to get to the small bank.

BTW: Since Azalysa is a druid, the Druid and/or Shaman merchant whose name begins with an A sells the new 90% Druid/Sham out-of-combat rez spell (Incarnate Anew). It's a level 59 spell.

Back in the day, I'd take my bard and start the levitation song before stepping off. It would take effect just as I was about to hit the ground.

Then I'd tell my caster friends "Hey! The drop here is long enough that you can cast levitate on the way down!"

Awww...thanks, snailish. When I last played back in the day, I don't recall having reason to go to the library very much. As a porter, I lost income with the PoK portals...but my alts appreciated it. *grins*

Past memory - Always a big crowd around the main PoK bank with high level (at that time 65-70) toons casting wonderful buffs, especially KEI. I was surprised to return and not see that...time marches on.

Ooooooo...thank you Yther. I hadn't even looked at current spells yet. The spell info states "Incarnates a slain ally, restoring 90 percent of their lost experience." This sounds like it is used solely to restore experience to another; can it also be used on self?

Yes to self. Cast on anyone as long as you the caster are not in combat. Only real draw back to a Nec, Pal or better Clr rez is the out of combat requirement, no battle rez from the Shm / Dru one.

EDIT: Guild Lobby is the new hang out for buffs, but it's not as frequent as it once was there or in PoK, but since no timer count down on buffs, most don't mind, as they afk there and when they come back are fully buffed.

I purchased the Incarnate Anew spell, but cannot target my corpse except to bring up the loot button. I'm trying this with a corpse *after* I went back to my bind point. Is it to be used prior to that?

Thank you again for all the great info :)

EDIT: Errrr...scratch that question; I went back into game and this time was able to target my corpse.
