Resizing Window Text & Logging TextFollow

Me again :) I'm having so much fun "revisiting" EQ. Some things are starting to come back to me and I appreciate the assistance several of this community has provided on this forum.

For my following "Questions Du Jour" I have again attempted to use Google and EQ forum searches to find the answers but thus far have not found the answers. So...

1. I have 3 characters. On two of them the UI, including the size of the text in the chat boxes is fine; however on the third one the UI is the same but the text in the chat box is teeny. How can I change the size of this text, please?

2. When I played EQ years ago, I logged all my chats (old habit from my IRC days). I can't find an option to turn that on and would like to be able to do so.

Oh...I also have a question 3:

The last time I played, when dinosaurs still roamed the earth...lol, there was a screen either on the character log in screen or an option within EQ where I could choose if I wanted the different races displayed in the "old school" version or the updated version when one of the expansions came out. I have all but the last 3 expansions.

Once again, many thanks for any help with any of these questions.

*Heads back into EQ to Charm some animals*

/chatfontsize # with # 1-9 or maybe even higher now, does a quick change for individual windows. I don't remember where you can change the font type at, but it is in there somewhere, maybe right-clicking on the chat window, or under Options (Alt+O). Default for /chatfontsize is 3.

/log [on | off] will turn it on or off, and/or toggle it, if no parameter. The files are named eqlog_charactername_server.txt in the logs subdirectory of the base EQ directory. This command stays in effect after logging, so just turning it on once for each toon, is enough to continuously log everything. But you may want to back up / delete the files after they get very big. Usually more than 1GB they start lagging the game somewhat.

You get to old models, but running the separate program, since the new patcher skips the screen, unless you back out without exiting from the server select screen. Anyway, the file is called OptionsEditor.exe in your base EQ directory. And you can also get to it by logging in to the server select screen then hitting Escape and there will be the old screen with Log in button and Options button (the one you want), as well as a few others.

Thank you so much, Yther. All your answers worked perfectly!!! The only weird thing is when I made the text size larger for the chat window, I still get the teeny text when I'm typing something into it. But, seeing it displayed larger on the chat window was the main thing...so it's all good. :)
