A game feature I have managed to miss (my breaks from EQ) is the power source thing.

Jonwin had given me some ages ago and I haven't given it much thought, but now I am noticing no one selling them at all ever. I've barely zoned into the first TBS zone (let alone done the faction) so using chronobines to by the vendor powersources there isn't an option from what I understand?

Furthermore... has this "game feature" been orphaned? The higher end gear appears to occasionally have the purity stat (keep in mind that everything above level 71 is higher end to me). Frankly I think it was a dumb "innovation" but you have to work with the conditions in the game.

My necro actually has a lot of gear with purity on it atm, and should I play her more regularly sometime... I think I'd like the benefit of a power source.

Anyone able to fill in my gaps of knowledge on this one?

My Druid and shammy have the faction and the credit to get you a few power sources to play around with, on Povar. Just give a shout and we can plan to a time to get them and exchange them. With 6 to 8 items of purity my SK gets around 75 ac with a powersource, on the other hand my Dru and Sham get around 250 mana depending on which ones i am using.

For a mid tier raid paladin, the metal PS is a bit over 300 AC.

PS help, but gotta remember the facts. Skilled players are what counts, PS, etc, are just candy.
