Last weekend in May, also Memorial day in the US, hence a long weekend.

So what's on the agenda?

Don't forget, it's triple station cash this weekend for pre-paid cards.

A pre-weekend update... sneaky!

Work is looming for me at this point. Also errands involving continuing vehicle repairs arising from previous vehicle repairs.

No offense, but "station cash" never had a place in Everquest. I don't know what I would do if they gave me a million. I play the game, I pay the monthly fee, I get it all. I know I'm old school but that's all she wrote until Smed found a way to get more payments for more Porsches.

I'm sitting by the wayside of the game wonderin' how the votes will go. I have vested interest even if I can't vote on progression. It's going to be an interesting month any way you slice it.

Memorial Day - I'm all set. I've got burgers and beer, potato salad and chips. It's a good time to be alive :)

I don't take offense. A lot of people feel the marketplace has no place in EQ. I'm with you on that, however, I also feel that since it's here, there's nothing I can do about it, except not buy anything (and I don't. Only spent the free SC that I got over time, but triple SC is too good to pass up, and I can use it for something like the next expansion that I'll buy anyway.)

Spent the weekend at Balticon 45. Arrived back home this afternoon after dropping by the ER for Elne Clare. Second year in a row for her, the ER and Balticon. Last year it was allergic reaction, this year stomach pain. With her fibromyalgia any pain can be trouble so it's more of a don't wait until tomorrow thing. Heard from her an hour ago, nothing to report.

Got to listen to Dr. Ben Bova give a rambling GoH speech, well done and enjoyable. Then this AM spent an hour with him and 6 other folks in a Coffee Klatch setting.
Spent marvelous time with my grandson and daughter. Great time talking a bit with Elne's girls.

Spent a bit in game on my ranger and my warrior.

Let's see. Did 2 loads of laundry (even folded them and put them away. Usually I'll just wash them and then pull what I need out of the laundry basket.) Went to my niece's birthday party/Memorial Day BBQ. Yesterday, we had a skating competition. ~3 hours each way, spent the whole day with that. On Saturday, I got some mulching done finally. Thirteen 2 cubic foot bags of mulch and I still need maybe anohter 7 ot 8 (and that doesn't even count the big area next to the drive way, which may take 10 bags itself.) I'll pick up more next weekend and try to finish up. Oh, and I had to work for a little bit on Saturday. Had a teleconference to discuss the results of a project that's just finishing up. That goes to next level management tomorrow, and then the big bosses on Wed.

Friday raids were a bit light, but still tried Beast. Final score was Beast 2, After Hours 0, and we called it ;P (gotta know when to stop, hehe)

Saturday night we managed to get enough in to do Badgers, second win on that for AH. (Long fight, over 2 hours of kiting/rezzing, LOL)

Sunday night helped a guildy get T5 SoD for his healer merc.

Memorial day was helping a bud camp a healer 1hb. No luck, but good fun and many AA's for all. Overall a productive weekend in EQ 8)

I'm on the fence with Station Cash. One on hand, I do enjoy the xp potions that I buy since my main is in her 80's. And god, it takes forever to level in the 80's. I did end up buying $50 worth of Station Cash cards, so I could continue buying the xp potions. I really don't use the marketplace for anything else. The house items, you can find throughout Norrath, for free.. as long as you are able to kill the mob.

Anyway, my weekend update:

Friday, my brother came to visit. Pleasant for my parents, not for me. Hehe. I spent some time on my baby ranger and was able to level a few times doing quests in Blightfire Moors.

Saturday, I took out my druid and helped a guildmate gain a level and a few aa's out in BoT.

Sunday and Monday were spent relaxing, bbq'ing, playing my baby ranger, and annoying the crap out of my boyfriend. ~grin~

How about the rest of you?

Sorry for turning the weekend update into a rant about the marketplace, amastropolo. It's fine and I do realize everyone has different feelings on the whole thing. I also didn't know you could use it (SC) to buy expansions. I'll have to look into that when the next one comes up as I am several behind at this point.

Been a busy weekend for me - we're leaving this afternoon for 3 weeks, so there will be no EQ for me for quite a while.

Have a great June everyone!
