patience is running a little thin here a full week of no EQ. I just returned after 4 years and really start leveling snd BAM! no eq. I have to say though if sony dosent bring services back up that people will start leaving, even more than now. Im sure theres a few that have left but they wont start caring soon! Just my thoughts on EQ being down!

I've certainly noticed a large influx of people on the emu servers. I've also noticed a surprising bunch of EQ1 players showing up on Rift. I'm sure WoW's seen the same thing. SOE MMOs are hardly top dog (in fact many people aren't even aware that EverQuest is still running), but that's still quite a few players looking for their MMO fix.

I'm curious how many of them will stay wherever they chose to migrate. This has to be agonizing for Sony. First they haven't been on top of the MMO heap in years with a subscriber base (I'm making assumptions here) primarily composed of die-hard fans. And though it really hasn't been THAT long since the servers went down, they have to know that some of those players from an already limited base aren't going to be coming back.

Which is why I'm a little annoyed when I see people in other threads attacking SOE for not bringing the servers back up yet. Yes, it sucks, but anyone who thinks they aren't likely working their butts off to fix the issues is being delusional.

Would you rather then bring the game back up with unsecure servers again? Let them take their time and get things right and then get the game going again. I rather them do it slow and steady then rush it and let another slip in security happen

At this point the damage is done. We really couldn't be threatened more than we already are. All of our personal info has already been stolen and published on the internet (website was taken down, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lists weren't still being distributed underground). If anyone is going to do anything to any of us, they already have access to everything about each and every one of us. Let them hack it again. It really doesn't matter there isn't anything else to take.

Bring the servers up already and at least let us play.
