#1 Apr 28 2011 at 12:06 PM Rating: Decent
I was sent to afghanistan april 2007 so i have questions. I left with every class in the game all maxed at 75. 80 aa aprox. Defiant gear is a huge upgrade. In a 12 hour grind how many peices should i see drop? What is the bonus for aa if you are under 100. Should i continuf to do old world till i gear up and get more aa? Can 4 raid geared people get 2 of my toons through the theme that gets me the tier 5 merc? Thanks for your+help.

First thanks for your service!

In a 12 hour grind how many peices should i see drop? - hard to say, depends on your kill speed and the random number generator.
What is the bonus for aa if you are under 100. it starts at 500% with 0 aa's and goes to 0% at 2500 aa's

Should i continuf to do old world till i gear up and get more aa? definately if you aren't grouped

Can 4 raid geared people get 2 of my toons through the theme that gets me the tier 5 merc? easily assuming they are around 85

Welcome back to EQ

I figured i would pay 4 people 10 bucks an hour to get me the tier 5 merc access for all my toons. Then head to mpg and 2 box w 2 merc till each of my toons are geared and have 750 aa then start doing whatever progression i will need. How long should the theme for the tier 5 mercs take 4 level raid geared 90 and my 2 75 more or less?

Welcome back, and thank you for volunteering.

You'll have to be 75 to get the tasks, so you're in good shape. One of the tasks - the one where you hail the thralls - can take 45 minutes or so per character, only because of the failure rate and respawn time. All you really need is a strong melee toon (40k+) and a merc healer; any other characters in the group (yours) are there to assist. You'll die...a lot. Just keep reminding yourself that it's worth it in the end.

The group mission isn't so bad. Again, you need a strong tank. Murdunk's Last Stand requires a lot of DPS above all else.

The last couple of missions from Ylatra require a very good puller and maybe some crowd control. And yes, a strong tank.

With any luck, and one or two good friends, you should be all finished in about 6-8 hours. Much faster (2-3 hours) if you can find 4 strong level 90s. Have fun!
