eq patcher wont finish :: Free Realms

so i open EQ and its starts the DL then it goes thru bar then starts to do the patch DL gets a little ways done then says DL canceled anyone know whats up i have tried to do full scan and nothing? it says complete check interrupted half way thru. also after i closed that to retry it started going threw very slowly and the time to complete said over 2 hours so closed again then problem befor came up again

i remember while back someone told me some files to delete then to patch again and it worked but i cant remember the file names if anyone knows what i should and should not delete that be great ill try that

If you visit the Official Sony forums you'll see threads like the linked one with various suggestions of similiar issues.

I hesitate to recommend following any of that advice though. I looked up a wierd issue I was having one time and threads wanted me to delete files and do all sorts of stuff. I turned my computer off and tried again in half and hour... the problem went away.

Good luck, whatever route you pursue.

Assuming you're not getting any errors reported, then deleting: EQ_Missing_Files.log*, EQPatch.log*, Everquest.log*, and LaunchPad.log* and repatching should fix it, or at least give an error message if it doesn't.

EDIT: Typo'd LaunchPad :-/
