I'm trying to determine when the old cultural armor (uses the imbue spells to make the good stuff, some uses blue diamonds to my recall) came into the game?
Most items I looked up such as Erudite Necro Robe had few or no posts. Earliest date I noticed was 2002 which puts it in late Luclin or Plane of Power... that doesn't seem right to me (I'm thinking it is earlier)?
My reason for asking is of course being on the Time-locked Progression server I am hoping this stuff gets put in when it will actually be made and worn by people.
I did notice that Blue diamond dropping zones seemed to pick up with Velious (would appear to be a scarce drop in original world).
I wore my Dark elf chanter chain for years after it was obsolete just because of the unique look --wish I had kept that armor now. On TLP, no dye makes the fashion vs. stats decisions valid again too. I'm definately enjoying seeing people in mis-matched armor again.

Blue Diamond Cultural came in early Luclin, if I remember correctly. I tried looking around EQTraders for forum postings but I think they opened their forums in Dec 2002 so I get stuck there. I would assume (blind guess) that once Luclin opens, BD Cultural will open with it regardless of when during Luclin's era it was actually introduced.
Edit: The entry for the Fierce Heraldic breastplate has a comment from May 2002. Luclin was released in Dec 2001 and Planes of Power was released in Oct 2002. So I'd guess April-May 2002 for the BD Cultural introduction.

If you meant the cultural armor that predated the blue diamond stuff, it looks like that was mid 2001 or so. So Velious era.
Example: Imbued Field Plate. Also, Brellium, Koada'Dal, Steelsilk, etc.
The Blue Diamond stuff was the Luclin era upgrade. Some of the original cultural stuff was nice, some was pretty for the cost even by the standards of the day.

I wasn't even aware it was a 2-stage implemenation (imbued first, Blue diamond later) --though that does make some sense. I lack the savvy to use eqtraders in a way that helps me know timelines of gear going in (I find that site very confusing, despite being full of information).

I started playing in Sept 2000. The qeynos cultural armor was available then. It is why Jonwin took up smithing.
