Back......again. Rolling Mage,Wizzy and Chanter 3 box. With new mercs would this work well? Planning on doing progression group content and maxxing AAs as I go.

I would add 1 healer merc and 2 dps caster mercs to that mix. Proceed with pet tanking. Burn everything down. This set up should eaasily get you through SoD progression. In UF depending on your playstyle, you might need to change a DPS caster to another healer.
Pinzarn has a good suggestion.
After getting your T5 mercs, skip UF and go straight to HoT, T1 gear is insanely easy, pbly sold in the baz for cheap and T2 isn't much tougher.
