Hi, looking into tailoring I found more info. The tailored fantastic bag 12 slot and is selling for 75k in bazaar. At 504 trival you need to be lvl 86 to tailor it, uses a tailored bag pattern, 1 dream dust, 1 fantastic animal pelt, 1 fantastic silk and a reinforced silk. Fantastic pelt and silk going for 20k and 32k. This will probably drop as more shows up. You can get the bought items in POK but I think these are projected for the House of Tule.

A Unexpanded Legendary Backpack is 14 slot, 528 triv. It sells for 180k and needs a solvent to open it that binds it to you character.

I guess the larger backpacks are available to all players?

Yes, you don't have to buy the new expansion to use larger bags, but you have to buy it to get the 2 extra inventory slots. The Unexpanded Tailored Legendary Backpack is actually 12 slot. When you add the component to make a Tailored Legendary Backpack or Heavy Tailored Legendary Backpack, the bag expands to 14 slots (both combines have a trivial of 15 and are likely to be no-fail). All of the new tailored Backpacks and Packs can be dyed, but not the other types of bags (for the legendary, you dye after expanding).

Edit: Fixed the link for the heavy legendary.

Tailoring levels are not tied to adventure level. You could make it at level 1 if you wanted. There are some combines that are level restricted, but I don't think this is one. You'd just need to get your hands on the components.

I came back to EQ last week after 6 years of EQ2 and I'm generally loving it, but this bag issue is one of the biggest let-downs.

I see people paying incredible amounts for 14 slot bags. An upgrade from 10 to 12-14 seems like a slap in the face - in EQ2, bags have been upgraded over the years from ~20 to 60+ slots. I even saw some 88-slot container. And people are happy.

I'm not saying I like EQ2 more. I also don't want EQ to be dumbed down, I like the high risk, high reward system. It's just that there are so many little basic things which would be very easy to fix and would make the playing experience much better, but even after 12 years, they still remain.

Offline trading is another issue - EQ2 broker system seems perfect to me now, after re-experiencing the EQ stone-age bazaar system where people have to leave their computers running at night... I simply cannot understand why this system hasn't been changed for all these years. Anyone who has tried EQ2 in the past few years can say that the broker system is infinitely better and really gives life to the economy. For example - in EQ, I search for an enchanter earring, levels 1-90, I get like 20 results. In EQ2, I get a 1000 results. And both games have approximately the same amount of subscribers.

Wrong forum, I know...just venting..

Only the unexpanded version of bags will go into Shared Bank (12 slot) once you convert them over to 14 slot they become "No Drop" and they are yours forever and ever.
