I came back to EQ last week after 6 years of EQ2 and I'm generally loving it, but this bag issue is one of the biggest let-downs.
I see people paying incredible amounts for 14 slot bags. An upgrade from 10 to 12-14 seems like a slap in the face - in EQ2, bags have been upgraded over the years from ~20 to 60+ slots. I even saw some 88-slot container. And people are happy.
I'm not saying I like EQ2 more. I also don't want EQ to be dumbed down, I like the high risk, high reward system. It's just that there are so many little basic things which would be very easy to fix and would make the playing experience much better, but even after 12 years, they still remain.
Offline trading is another issue - EQ2 broker system seems perfect to me now, after re-experiencing the EQ stone-age bazaar system where people have to leave their computers running at night... I simply cannot understand why this system hasn't been changed for all these years. Anyone who has tried EQ2 in the past few years can say that the broker system is infinitely better and really gives life to the economy. For example - in EQ, I search for an enchanter earring, levels 1-90, I get like 20 results. In EQ2, I get a 1000 results. And both games have approximately the same amount of subscribers.
Wrong forum, I know...just venting..
