Did y'all thank SoE for the container layout fun? Thoughtful SoE what? I have only one account, y'all with more than one must have had some really big fun there. Please, tell SoE all about it, this would be the place.
a) What on earth are you talking about? I've been playing eq tons the last weeks, with three accounts, and have no idea what you are talking about.

Think the reference is to re-size-able bags, and the default shape not being the same as the old format, of 2x5.
I don't see the problem, when if yuo load a fresh UI, you have to move the bags to where you want them. Now you just have to size them too, but with less screen area, scrollable, and more than 10-slot bags, what is there really to complain about?

Plus, after you've got your UI settings done for one toon, all you gotta do is copy "UI_Toonname_Servername.ini" to a backup folder, rename it something generic like UI_NEWNAME_Servername, and use THAT files to replace all the other toon's ini files, renaming them for the next toon down the line.
Even if you have 50 toons, it will take like 10 mins extra to fix the UI's of the other 49.
Yeah, I thought it was a pain in the *** to resize and move the bags around. But there is some kind of "pain in the ***" or another every time EQ does a patch or a new expansion. The bags thing, I think, was relatively low on the "*** Pain Meter". And I used it as an excuse to look for a slimmer set of container and bank mods.

I thought the new layout was to accomodate the larger backpack size, but I've seen nothing to indicate how the implement them. I heard someone say he bought one for 20k, but no info at to where. Having 30 or 40 slots instead of 10 would be sweet for looters or bazaar sellers.
Doesn't Add to Bazaar Trader slots...but what is nice is you have spare room for storage or to find treasures price wrong by hung over, late night bazaar trader wanabee's and go right to them without juggling inventory. But nice having the extra slots. Also nice for looting, so you can loot-all then while medding pick through what you want and send the rest into pixel eternity.
I agree, didn't take long for EQinterface to have new downloads...and everything is Great...little time and effort but all things are better with very LITTLE hard work

The new bag/container features are nice, but I have to sign on to the OP's feeling that it was not handled in the best manner. They patched changes already since HoT's launch and some of my bags continually resize themselves every time I login.
The best way to have handled this would be if they kept the 2x10 size as default and pushed out the right side for the scollbar. Then players could see there is more below *IF* they had a larger container and then decide if they wanted to resize each window.

What he is talkn about is all bags start differnt on size and if copy ui to another toon bags have to be the same...
or must resize and place them again... another prob was if do horizontal cant read names of items if do alt trick to see the names of all items in that bag... dont get me wrong i love the new bags...the real big pain was after expansion went live I resized 16 toons and their bags only to find out had to do all over again cause they added the combine to some and messed up all my bags so another few hours resizing and putting in order...
Long story short They nice bags... but, hope dont have to lay them all out again...
