Yay for Housing!Follow

Who's excited about the housing option in the upcoming new expansion? I definitely am.. I've always loved decorating in EQ2 and love that they finally gave us the option in EQ1.

Plus, the pack rat/tradeskiller in me *loves* the bigger bags.

Would have been neater if they could have had each instanced a small personal zone in itself to which others would have access. One where you could inhabit it with an environment and creatures of your choosing on top of decorating the inside.

I am not... Armourcarr has been saving all his plat... wanted to buy a big mansion..party like a rock star, big parties. But I am stuck with track housing and hanging pictures... why can't you buy a pice of land say in commons over looking the lake.. have a huge house. Thats what I want. People ride by as say look at that house. Not some pixilated painting. I will probably ignore the feature unless it is spectacular. I feel it will be some Merchat Window addition so you can buy a pre Kunark lamp or something...lol
Do like the bag idea.... but want more then one...

They're going to set up houses in existing uninstanced zones in the future, vinney. You can also have more than one giant bag, it's just that only one is free.

I was looking forward to this feature, assuming it would be like EQ2 - decorating and furnishing your house is really good fun.
However, the prices are astronomical:(( With 2 accounts and most toons level 70+, all my cash goes on spells and equipment. 5k for a basic house then paying for a plot as well is ridiculous.
Come on Sony - stop catering just for the highest-level people - let us all have access to reasonable-prices housing!!

I'm sure there will be quests for place-able stuff, as well as all the crap that drops that is now place-able. In EQ2, I didn't buy a single home item, all were from quests and/or items I looted, and my simple apartments were packed with stuff, even on my lower level toons (20+ ones).

We love it but would like the Trustee (Me, the wife) to be able to place items too, not just the Owner (Him, the husband). It's okay but I have to tell him to go buy tiki torches instead of just getting some myself. It's just a little annoying. I'm thinking that they didn't think of how married players would like the houses to work. (Though they are most definitely on the right track).

Arrgh. The husband just pointed out that the big thing he'd like to see is buffs freezing inside the houses like they do in Guild Hall. We can barely walk through Guild Hall as it is (with the lag).

Also, I CAN place some items. Just not boxes of butterflies, boxes of fireflies, a wooden gazebo or tiki torches. The things I really wanted to place, lol!

Depending on how long you have been married, you'd also need a way to let the pool boy in the back door...
