As I have just come back to the game after years..
I find that clerics can now spell research?
Well I've googled, searched, and read a lot of info..
Only problem I have at the moment..
I can't find WHERE to get the spell research kit that Clerics can use.
I found one but when I open it an error pops in red that my class can't use it..
Bleh!

First thing you have to do is train 1 point in it, at your class GM. This is most likely your problem. Next you have to find the right research kit for your class.
Priest = Prayer Writing Kit Clr Dru Shm
Bard = Song Writing Kit
Hybrid = Hybrid Research Kit Rng Shd Pal Bst
Melee = Tome Binding Kit War Mnk Rog Ber
Each of these available from Nursa Rasumus (Research Supplies) in PoK.
Rest is same as other tradeskills; find a recipe or set of recipes to skill up on. Non-casters have a pretty limited set of recipes.
