3GC controller ?Follow

#1 Aug 23 2010 at 2:57 AM Rating: Decent
well not sure about this cause i may get flamed for it but heres my question. I recently purchased a steelseries 3GC controller to play games on my comp .. the other day my wife suggested i hook up my laptop to the 52 inch HD tv and play EQ that way which i promptly did ( shes so sweet to me) now the problem is it works on all my games but Eq any suggestion on how to get the controller to actually work ingame? BTW no its not against the eula because i did a search on it at SOE and the only reply they give about controllers or game pads is that they allow them but they won't tell you how to make them work ingame with that being said i just wanted to be able to sit back on the couch and play Eq without the laptop on my lap since i have a 3 year old who likes to play games with me.... and thought it would be cool to turn him loose in tutorial with the controller just to see what happens Any suggestions on how to get it to work ingame would be appreciated it works on all my other games.

I'm not too familiar with gamepads in EQ but if its like any other game, you need to map keys to it (like you would change a hotkey). For instance, attack is the Q key in on the keyboard, if you go to change that and say that gamepad has an A button (like an xbox 360 controller), then click the field where the Q is click the designated key on the controller.

Hopefully it helps.
