Back again; as you can tell, I am an EQ addict! :-D I have a 85 Bard with decent armor. Can I get some input from vertran/other players. Things to do, quests that are good for bards to do, sweet places to grind aa's (even with our attrociously low DPS); and ways therein to improve what we can imprive; ect. I really appriciate the input. Alot of time the halls are quiet due to the age of the game. However, there are those of us that still explore and enjoy the game. Pour out some info that can be augmented to improve players and the daily adventures we can try.

Thank you for your time and info!

Your enthusiasm makes me quite happy and excited!
Alas, I am no good at helping on the bard front, but I could explain how to play a shadowknight while watching a movie, reading, and taking a nap all at the same time =D
What server are you on by chance?

I recommend http://www.theconcerthall.net/phpBB3/

you need to sign up for an account there to see all the forums but it's well worth it, all the questions you asked and more are answered on that board.

FYI, swarm kiting is the best solo xp you can get as a bard and at 85 you can swarm kite the ogres in tosk.

TY for input. Seems alla dosent have neer the responses it used to. /weep
However, tried the sight given, no go. Just needing to understand using abilities the Bard posseses. At 1625 aa, the grind is slow. Understand; via many death, the latest expansion is not made for soloing. Hope in the future expansions more solo-areas will be dreamed up. Any scrap of info is welcome!! GO EQ!!

You are correct, the latest expansion is not solo friendly to any class, well, maybe REALLY well geared mages can solo there but noone else.

I don't know what your goals are or what kind of gear you have but if you are looking for things to get "just because" the air elemental lute is well worth it, all the illusion items are really nice to have.

Yeah, bard dps is pretty low, you need a merc healer and really have to limit yourself to "weak" mobs like the boars in Tosk or the animals in FoS if you are meleeing. Better aaxp is swarm kiting like I mentioned above, ogres in Tosk are awesome aaxp, I used to get 10-12 aa's per lesson burn there.
