Well maybe not great but made of good intentions none the less. Setting aside the kind of roads that are paved with such intentions for a moment let me explain. I have decided in my boredom and fear of idle hands being made the tools of the devil to upload as many images for weapon and shield graphics as possible. Help would be nice. Some shortcuts can be taken when items share an image and that information can be found in Lucy.
a month ago I would have helped, or continued to do this (which I have been doing for years) but with these awful changes, the total ignoring of the players views on these changes and the DISRESPECT shown to Alla himself, I am no longer spending time for free so ZAM can make a few extra $$.
ZAM forgets that without the contribution of us players (who have to PAY to see the info we submitted!) Allakhazam wouldn be the site it is today, and they wouldnt make a cent out of it.

I think it is a nice idea. I don't pay for Zam anymore, but I will help out where I can.
I have a lot of unanswered EQ quest questions also...maybe I should get working on those LOL

I guess I see it as doing something for the Everquest community, not necessarily for "Zam".
It cost money to host all of this and constantly up date it. Probably not as much as they are receiving, but I still don't think of it as helping the company. It is a community thing. I actually wish I did have the money to have my own site and make it available through donation only to keep it running. Since it is all community acquired content, it wouldn't be hard to develop a new site with all the information. It is a time and money issue. So, until there is something better...

I think I addressed the fact that they are receiving more money than they are spending to upkeep it.....which is profit.

I definitely appreciate you contribution. I'm sure I might have even used one of your write ups sometime over the last six years or so..

A moment of clarification. If I tell someone, in this case jonnypanic, to stop using the report post button to forward a political agenda and ******** with my ability to moderate the forums effectivly, with a clear warning that continuing to do so will get them banned, and then they continue to do so, this time with a threat of legal action, I will ban them. Some of you don't like the site layout. I know. Your messages have been relayed to management, and they have decided not to change it. The report post button is NOT the appropriate place to air your grievances, and certanly not after an admin tells you to knock it off.

I realize people do not like change. I get my feathers ruffled sometimes as well by change. While I think the banner is a bit too cheesy and I liked the site the way it was before, I fail to see what is so incredibly horrible about the site now. Have I not run into the frustrating points yet? I don't mean to cause anyone to beat a dead horse, but I feel as though I'm in the dark.
