I have played for over two consequetive years when EQ came out, quit shortly after PoP came out, and will revice my two accounts soon.

Will I be entitled to a veteran reward once I have entered into a new billing schedule? (SInce I have to gain levels/aa first i am strongly interested in the "Lesson of the Devoted" ...)

Thanks for your answers

I believe you should be entitled to 2 rewards, one for each year of service. Thus you can claim the rewards for 2 characters per account.

(Gonzo, please forgive me for the slight hijack, but I don't want to start another Veteran query thread).

Is /claim the same as the Veteran Rewards?
I'm asking as I have 5 years worth of continuous play,(over a period of 10 years)
is there anything really worth getting or is it fluff? Are the rewards Specific to the years you had consecutive billing?
Is there anyway of checking before I ***** it up on ther wrong character?
& what on earth is the Legend's card game thing I have, is it like Gems only a bit posher?

Thank you

No, the claim is different. That is for the freebies you get over time from purchasing expansions, LoN loot cards and Station Cash purchases.

You can check your current time towards veteran rewards by typing /played in game. It will give you an approximate time. The veteran rewards are not really fluff. The first one is Lesson of the Devoted, which gives you 30 minutes of double XP once a day. Others are a gate back to the guild lobby, you can summon a banker (or is it a merchant? I forget). You can raise all your stats and resists to the cap once a day for 5 minutes. Things like that. The rewards are specific to the years you have paid for the account, not account age. So breaks where you closed the account and the first 30 days free don't count towards the rewards.

PLEASE NOTE: You can only claim the rewards on the same number of characters as you have rewards. So if you have the first 2 rewards, you can claim them on 2 characters across all servers. If you claim them and then change your mind, you cannot transfer them to another character and if you delete a character with veteran rewards, you lose them forever.

Legends of Norrath is a card game. You can access it from inside EQ or through a stand alone client. It's sort of like Magic the Gathering if you ever played that. When you buy booster packs for LoN, they have a chance to contain a special card that allows you to claim a specific piece of loot in game. Such as a mount, XP potion, illusion, etc. You can read about it at www.legendsofnorrath.com .

Thank you for the reply Amastropolo, that makes it a lot clearer.

If I'm reading it correctly (My played time said 30.9 years so I'm not sure what went wrong there). I am entitled to the following:
Robo boar, Mottled Worg bridle, Ornate Barding/Bridle, Temporal Chrysalis, Darvual Crystal, Runed Gargoyle Tooth, Taelosian Morphonic staff, Frozen Crystal shard, Aviak Spirit Totem, some satchels full of potions & some other bit's & pieces.

Who in their right mind needs 3 or 4 mounts? Can these be sold?

You have to love the irony...I struggled like hell for years (as most of us did) to upgrade & compete, now I return & they're throwing gear at me.

Serves me right for playing Classic I guess, I've a good mind to bury it all in the swamp.

The pieces that you note (Robo Boar, etc.) are the claims that you are granted by purchasing expansions.

The veteran rewards are different. I'm not sure why your played time says 30.9 years. That's obviously a mistake. You can submit a /petition and ask the GMs what your veteran reward time is at and they will tell you.

Were you a guide at any point, guides received /played time at a rate of 10x normal while being a guide. So if you were a guide for 1 year - it would be the same as 10 years played, and so on for any other time spent as such.

Arghh, of course. That make sense as I was a guide, (albeit only for a year or so).

I'll have to hope I can spread my mounts amongst my characters as no one needs three or Four (surely)? Can the unwanted bridle's be traded to the respective vendor's in the Bazaar still?

Thanks for the replies folks, I'm so rusty it's like a whole new game.

Absolutely you can have claim items. In fact, there's a good chance you'll have 6 or 7 in those unopened packs. (note, only booster packs, not starter packs have the chance for loot cards.)

You need to open them in the LoN client and you'll see if there's a loot card there. If there is, you click redeem and it sends it to your EQ Client and then you can claim it there.

by the way: Will lesson of the devoted stack with hot-zone-xp-bonus? i.e. will I get 200% exp bonus when hunting in hot zones and using the lesson?

Oh, and what's with the exp-boosters from the /marketplace? They say that they don't stack with any other exp-bonus. I presume any means ANY, and as such also the lesson of the devoted and hot-zone-bonus. Am I right?

Thanks for the help!

The exp pots from the markket do not stack with LOD. I have seen some indication on my exp bar they do work in hot zones. I haven't parsed anything however, just eyeballed the bar in and out of hot zones.
