I have a skill of 200 in smithing. I have tried to combine the Intricate Dagger, and I have all the components, but receive the following message.
"This seems correct but somehing is wrong, perhaps you need to know something more in order to combine this", any help appreciated.

I think that means you're missing the correct recipe book. Head back to the vendor and look for the book and scribe it. There are a bunch of them, so it's easy to miss one.
