Could use some adviceFollow

#1 Dec 30 2009 at 6:40 PM Rating: Decent
So i just returned and have rolled a BL on mayong (I had a 69BL and quit around OOW era) Since i have 50 free AAs is there anything i should be spending them on now or should i be saving them until 59 or 65 for better AAs or does it even matter?

Any other tips for a returning player would be appreciated as well.

Thanks.

Run 3 for sure and maybe innate metabolism. The rest you can probably wait for.

Run speed for a BL? I know its been a while but isnt that just a waste?

Well, it depends on whether the OP plans to spend much time in dungeons where he can't cast SOW. Besides, 3 AAs are fairly trivial these days and there isn't much else to spend them on until he reached 55.

Um, my shaman have Run5. My rangers and druids have run5. My BARDS have run5 (erm, more than that actually, since they have the class run enhancement too).

Admittedly, I don't know much about beastlords (played it to 53, hated it) but run is never a waste.

Run3 and maybe (MAYBE) metabolism, if you use stat food. Doesn't make much sense to get it to keep your iron rations and fuzzlecutter formula 5000 around longer. Otherwise, hold to them until 55 and spend 'em on the prereqs for something like Paragon.

Maybe im missing something but with SoW and shrew is there a reason i would need run 3 besides getting it out of the way for 4-5?

EDIT: Why am i being rated down for questioning getting a AA that is completely useless for another 10 levels?

Because run 3 and better do not use a spell slot? Leaving room for another buff. Me I don't use sow on my shaman I use Bi Lih to get the added attack. I do have run 4 on my cleric who has fabled j boots, as do most of my toons.
Because you never have to worry about sow wearing off at the worst time. You never have to stop and recast. Those are all reasons to buy the aa.

As far as being rated down I have no idea. You probably aggroed someone.

Prob because some people are adamant about getting Run3. There is also Innate Regen 3 you can get at 51, then a ton of stuff at 55.

Not many people do LDoNs any more, so I'd be very hesitant to suggest Shrew as a replacement for spending the 3 AAs, especially when you get 50 to start with.

Just my 2cp.

run3 is the best bang for the buck AA. It is just nicer to have it always instead of worrying about SoW and I think Run 5 is a must have because it sucks trying to follow someone who can outrun you.
