I have keyed in here time to time...have various strune toons; but my #1 is t3 85 Necro. I run solo most of the time due to play time (as well as guild low group play rate). I purchased the expansion and am excited that new adventures await me. There are many of you that have already been to the new zones.....is there neat items?....cool quests?...ect.

Hopefully there will be ways to advance as a solo player. You heavy players that grind the game with greater talent that I, plz share! Being a ret. vet. that have various hinderances....(the biggest being my attraction to EQ, ask the wife....) :-D.....I play alot but like to grind solo so I can rest as needed. Regardless, there are many interesting things a t3 85 Necro can get into. Wheeeeee....... Plz. expound some elements of the new worlds!! Trying to Mapquest maps.

Thank you for your time and info. Your sharing is deeply appriciated. EQ is a great game.....been there for over 6 years and having a great time! :-)

Like I said in another thread, I'm impressed with the detail in the graphics of the expansion. I downloaded maps from www.mapfiend.com before I went in so I don't know if the patch gives maps...but I had the maps from downloading the maps from mapfiend.

From what I have seen so far (boxing with mercs) spending most of my time in Brell's Rest and the Cooling Chamber, and exploring Pellucid Grotto, The Underquarry, and Arthicrex, all mobs summon and hit for a max of 4.5k+. Navigating through most zones can be hazardous and see invis mobs are sprinkled throughout the content. As a result, I'm sorry to say soloing (or molo-ing) will be extremely difficult, if not impossible for a player not raid geared. Thankfully, the lfg tool should come in handy for you since grouping will be more prevalent this time around.

If you want to gear up without hazarding deaths, exp loss, etc., then play the arena boomerang game in Brell's Rest. However you will need a group of 3 to get and play in the mission (mercs don't count). Gear from the game is around 800 hp/mana, which should help your survivability in UF zones.

As a solo necro, I think you'd have a hard time soloing in UF.

The Boomerang game in Brells Rest (task giver is at West end of the big bridge) is one way to earn tokens to buy 800ish hp gear.

Mobs I've seen in tier 6 and 7 have a TON of hp, and hit like a mack truck. (Trash mob that conned yellow 2 rounded me once, at 6k AC and 40k hp, near 3k AA Pally).

As stated previously, see inviz are scattered among the mobs as well.

I love the difficulty of the new expansion. That said, it is a group game basically. I've found you need tank/healer/slower and a skilled puller or CC in each group.
