As a level 56 that returned 2 months ago, I found that hunting in zones that gave me experience netted me an equal amount of plat from vendor junk as selling the armor drops I got in the bazaar. Plat is easy to make now - defiant armor drops anywhere and sells well in the bazaar. Gem drops seem higher as well.

In my opinion, you don't need to go anywhere special just to farm plat nowadays.

edit: Oh and welcome back!

Go to bazaar and see what is selling for around 500 plat to 1k plat. Go get those items, cut price under lowest seller. Enter trader mode.
Or just go kill, Loot, sell.
Sure Ice giants, the sand giant elites in no and south ro, and hill giants still drop plat and can be farmed. So can crystal caverns and you may have that all to yourself.

If you are under level 65 and want to level and earn plat... go to The Serpent's Spine Expansion. Vendor loots on nearly every mob are high plat for the level obtained.

Crescent Reach is good for xp until the high teens... and it is a city so easy selling.

Blightfire Moors is next and xp doesn't really slow down until mid 30s. There is vendors in the camp in the middle of the zone to sell too.

Level for doing Goru'kar Mesa effectively varies a bit... but into the 40s the first area with the bears and wolves is good xp. At level 65 my monk on Mayong made the best plat killing these same bears and wolves in a cycle. If you really want to kill giants they are here too.

Blackfeather Roost is doable for most 50+ and also has good vendor drops, and even a couple of baz sellable items.

Once you go past BFR then you have ranked spells to vendor or sell as they drop, and the vendor trash can be very lucrative.

-------

For non-TSS zones I still find Dulak's Harbor ships to be good platinum per hour/effort thanks to the gem drops. Old Sebilis seems lucrative too (remember to /baz sell the nodding blue lillies and binding powders) thanks to gems, vendor trash and the occasional desirable drop from named.

Made serious plat with the spell drops in Sebillis mid 50's to 60...40's to 50's in lower guk due to the fine steel that drops, but of course weight can be an issue with those...

if you are high enough, the ancient hero's MM in pok. you get 1900ish pp per completion. i have made nearly 130k over the last few months. experience is nice also. make sure to use LOTD if you are claiming the reward as normal experience.

I've said it many times before.Smiley: nod

If you can solo AC you can realize about 1.5k-2k pp per hour not counting selling the excellent twink gear on you trader.

ALSO: Set you AA to 90% while you are there. 1-4 AA per run depending on DPS, merc and LotD.

Cha-ching!!

Yes he does and he is right about the drops. When you get loaded just run back to outpost sell bank and go back for more.

Besides, killing any of the hideous Luclin "aliens" benefits all --if only for a short time till they respawn.

Low defiant gear is a good tip, but will vary by server. Some servers seem so mature that there is minimal demand for lowbie gear at all now (Makes sense... I know several people with no characters slots and no characters under 50).

One of those would now be me, except for my trader at level 10.
I am able to sell the haste belt from tasks on Povar on a regular basis, and other lower end items if I am pricing around 100 plat and can wait a few weeks for a buyer.

I made all my plat by setting up a buyer in the bazaar and setting ridiculously low prices on things. There's always someone who wants the cash now and will dump their merch at any price. Granted, this takes a little bit of capitol to start, but not a huge amount. Made literally millions this way.

Depending on your level, the farm in dsh can be good, just selling vendor drops and the occasional equipment, though the place gets old, quick. the mobs in the castles in plane of fire drop some nice vendor items, if you can kill the quickly. grab the tradeskill items as well, you can /barter them in the bazaar for a decent price.

Best way is Trader in Bazaar.
Play all day, sleep at night and let trader stay on all the time you are AFK.
Any trade skill item has a value, especially now players are higher and the items they craft worth more. You can also craft but risk the chance of real life carpal tunnel syndrome. So make sure you have a ton of room to loot, loot a lot. price competitively and sleep like a baby.
