Chronic Pain & EQFollow

Do any of you suffer from chronic pain? Was wondering if there are any special furniture that would be great to game with.

I have just two words for you:

Lumbar support.

I replaced my chair with a decent office chair with built-in lumbar support and I can sit a LOT longer than I used to.

Gotta support that lower back cuz God only gave you one and it has an expiration date!

One much hyphenated word: La-Z-Boy

I have bad pain issues. I kick back in the recliner, keyboard on lap and mouse on a big book. I use my friends computer occasional and his chair - which does have lumbar support - kills me after about 30 minutes.

Big soft recliner FTW!

Thanks for the replies. Anything is better than what I'm using now. And my EQ time would be much more enjoyable if I were comfortable. :D

Exactly where is your pain? Back, shoulders, eyes, wrists?

Probably the lumbar region. Heck, you can help yourself out a lot on the cheap just by placing a small pillow right behind your lower back, assuming your chair HAS a back. And it should, if your lower back bothers you!

I won't presume to guess your age but this kind of thing comes with getting "more mature", unfortunately. When I was young I could spend hours sitting on a wooden crate and nothing would bother me. I didn't realize how lucky I was.... like they say, youth is wasted on the young! ;)

I originally hurt my lower back back in 2000. Ironically, I did it while rollerblading because I wanted to get in shape. >.<

I went to a fabric store bought a 2 inch high-dense 1.5 X 1.5 foot memory foam + a 6 inch 1.5 X 1.5 regular foam pad. Had them cut it there. And a black pillow case. Cost total about $50 made two. Pillow cases come in pairs. But best $25 I invested. Makes sitting for a long time pleasant. By the time I get my fat butt into it in compresses pretty low.
