As far as what supplies do what, the names of the supplies give decent clues, and can be found on Rhondda the Flagger as Banner Material Kit: whatever.

You must be a Guild Officer or Leader and have at least one supply on you in order to activate them. You can find the controls on the Guild Manager Windows (Alt+G) under the Banner tab. It requires 12 guild members in close proximity to one another in the same zone to be able to plant one. It only requires one guild member to be near the banner to keep it active (not to expire).
