Hi Folks, more questions here, just wondering the best course to gear up your typal group monkey these days, used to be we did creator missons till you puked to buy gear but with all the new expansions since then is there a better route to gearing up your toon on the way from 60 to 85?

71-80, Othni / Athnai turn-ins, refer to Thach Jerden's Glowing Armor quests if going the bazaar way, otherwise, SoF group armor
81+, SoD group gear
There are other options, but those are the generally considered the best.

The cheapest way is to buy defiant gear in the bazaar until you can replace it with something better. There is also the fun of going back to previous hot zones to collect the augs.
Since you're playing on Mayong there won't be much variety in the baz (basically defiant). Be aware that Franklin Teek offers a varitey of quests and that some are trying to sell the rewards for big platinum in baz. You might find it more efficient to do the tasks, which are repeatable (but vary as Yther notes in the Franklin Teek post).
Have to agree that defiant is the way to go, but on Mayong you'll probably be using it until 80. Barring raid gear, it's the only best option until you can get SoD group gear.
Don't forget all the great augs available though (ie, hotzone augs mainly); they can make a big difference!
