Logged in for the first time in over a year (having taken a break to try Warhammer and EQ2). Moved all my "cool old gear" off the level 8 warrior I had left it all on which took half an hour of character switching. I ended up not rolling a new character on my old server though.
Mayong 51/50 didn't bring me back but it is where I went. The funny thing is I think they could have put 51/50 in as an option for all the existing servers without hurting anything, and made Mayong something else without the 51/50.
I just liked the idea of a server with no long-established legacies. I admit being all maxed skilled was nice (yay for swimming)and being a former alt-holic there isn't much under 50 content I haven't already done.
The free gear set is crazy good making most of my old characters seem poorly dressed. Having no platinum was funny though... as a berserker this meant no throwing axes.
I'll get at least a few weeks of fun out of 51/50 so that makes the resub worth it. The only mmo I ever miss is EQ.

Welcome Back snailish. Saturday I did the /testcopy thing thinking the grinding you do on test goes back to your toon on your regular server, wrong wrong wrong 
. I logged off after that. Sunday I broke out a healer merc. Healer merc just isn't me I deleted her. I have https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=31019 waiting on me when I hit 66, it is killing me waiting. I got in a guilds AA PLing in Nadox. I knocked out 25 AA and hit level 60 on my pally in no time. Man raiders do play a different game than the little solo pally! After checking the xp in veksar and trash in nightmare, I headed back to outer AC my little gem of xp. I got 61 % into level 60 there, closing in on heroism woot. Most all will turn greeny when I hit 61 NO!!!!
Any ideas on the next outer AC area with plenty of mobs with low hps around level 50 with a nice zem bonus that is not veksar ? I've never tried the undead in old seb that is an idea. Xp in howling stones is nice but man I get confused in that zone.

Reaching the undead in Seb requires a rogue to unlock the crypt door, FYI. There's no key for it.

Thanks that saves me some time. Didn't do a whole lot this weekend. Raided Saturday evening. Was fun and a change. Sun worked on the Grimling Forest Camp events again, and finally got Camp 2 completed. Tried the town (camp 10), but couldn't figure a way to do it successfully solo ... I need a non-breakable root :) Even 1-2min, if it didn't break :D

Got home from Gettysburg today.
Now on Friday I did play eq. Had the ranger in griegs end and the paladin back in NC hunting drunt. Got one rune to drop. Having Tserrina's whip, which I picked up last week in TOFS is helpful.
Sunday I drove home to work on Monday. Did another run in Griegs end. Logged in paladin to go home and get some 65 spells I had made for him. Ran back to NC.
