Is there anything I should know about running eq on Vista 64?

I bought a new laptop, I haven't loaded eq yet, I guess I will put it in the same spot as my old pc c/program files/sony/eq...

Thanks for any suggestions I may need on this, my old pc is XP and I have been leery of Vista for years, thus no experience on it. Smiley: clown

yes update graphic card drivers and make shure u run eq as admin thats what i gotta do right click and run as admin

I've recently purchased a laptop myself with Vista. All I've done was download everything and it ran perfectly with no problems.

There are supposed to be some issues running things if you put it in the default location (program files/sony/eq. . .).

Make a new directory under C (e.g., C:\Games) and put it there instead.

I had inexplicable freezes and I determined I was using a TOO current Nvidia video driver. In other words, use the most recent one recommended on Sony's EQ technical support forum. If you use one AFTER that, Sony may not have modified the game to be fully compliant with Nvidia's most current driver. This advice probably applies to ATI and other driver manufacturers!

Just got a new laptop myself with Vista 64. I only set up the admin user. Installed EQ where it wanted to, and no problems so far. Runs beautifully.
