Hi all. I know i ask questions, here is one more. Looking for some great ideas of places to grind to 85. Stayed at PoF (as affore questions show) and with the bonus weekend hit 84. Now I am asking for ideas to 85 from you knowing players who have arrived. Ranger is fun, could use more defense, but hey the bow is sweeeeeetttt. TY and happy hunting.
Try Riftseekers' Sanctum. I believe the lowest a light blue can be is 15 levels lower than you. Most mobs in RS are 71. Being an omens expansion, they shouldn't have a ton of hps compared to SoF or SoD.
Or you can give direwind a try in TSS expansion. Most of these guys are low 70s as well.

so far at that lvl my best spot will be Field of Scale (SoD) all the animals besides the named ones are easy kite (snare/bow or snare/root/rot) great exp grind so far.

If you have some decent melee weapons you may find the kill rate goes quicker if you use a merc to heal you on the animals in FoS. And the rate of xp might be a little better, even though you have a 2nd toon in group. You'll want to see how it goes for you.
Depending on your amount of aa's (for defense aa's) and your current gear (for ac) you should probably hold off on the named animals. I would recommend around 4k buffed ac, with some ranger tricks thrown in, if you want to survive one of them. Ranger tricks being stuff like outrider's evasion, weapon shield, guardian of the forest, etc. Again that depends on which aa's you have. There seems to be lots of people looking for those nameds though, and with even a semi-decent group you could tank them easily enough.
Honestly though, since you're a ranger, you should look on EQOutrider in the headshot threads to get an idea of how to better maximize your xp at these levels.
That could be a better way for you to get those aa's done, if you still need them, and then come back to get the augs/gear off the nameds in FoS.
