Where is my Plat...?Follow

I play EQ since 2 Weeks now after a 2 year break, and it makes a alot fun.
There are still enough thinks i didnt know, but slowly i get it running.

I have one Problem now, its seems nowadays everything in Bazaar is so cheap, at the beginning it was great, so i could gear my toon up with not really much plat, but now im out of plat and all items i gathered together arent worth anything, even some 300+ HP gear.
So i have no clue how to make some plat by myself nowadays, all items i knew from the past arent worth anyting, and also alot new items i found arent it worth to set up a trader for.
Since i dont know all of the new Zones and Stuff, maybe there are still some duo/1 group farmable items that are worth some more plat...?

Pls dont say go fishing or so :)

Thx for any infos about that

Do you have TSS expansion? Fangs and poison glands sell well. (Bear pelt will usually find buyers, too.)

What level(s) are your toons? This will help us help you decide where to hunt/farm.

What class is your main?

When I'm in need of plat and dont mind spending several hours at farming I go to Acrylia Caverns. @2k pp per hour not counting named drops.

Spiderling silks are a good money maker. Food if you bake, defiant armor priced cheaply will sell.
Right now on povar almost nothing is moving but the occasional item. Lots of my inventory is dormant and no longer in demand. It has been going to tribute a lot.

For regular plat just go roaming in so ro and kill the elite sand giants. There is even a quest you can do to earn more plat.

Another suggestion might be to farm the tradeable runes from OOW zones. Folks that don't have access to a high lvl researcher still needs runes for their spells/tomes from 66-68. 69 & 70 runes are no-trade.

Glad I read this because am on Povar too. My Trader is up but I notice that not much if any buyers wandering through and has been going on for a while now. This last weekend seemed to be sparse too. Not sure why.

I have a steady turnover on Misty thickets. BUy low sell high. Spiderling silks are almost non existent in bazaar I will have to shroud down and farm some.
Roots, water, veg all foraged by my ranger trader sell well.
Again this is on povar where i run a trader almost constantly.

theres better ways for an 83 monk to make cash other than selling spiderling silks...hell just wipe out C1 or C2 in pofire and you'll make a few K just in various diamond drops.

I believe Jonwin was trying to think of a place that the original poster (or any other player seeking an answer to the same question) could handle at whatever level they are. Now the orginal poster did not indicate a lot of information such as what class they were, their level, what expansion(s) they have, what gear they use, what tradeskills (if any) they are masters or proficient in. Without any of this knowledge I would assume they are super basic considering the original poster spoke of having very little platinum. Personally I would not suggest spiderling silk as I would consider those as an obsolete tailoring skill up item.

My suggestion honestly to Smueller is this... Join a "Family friendly" or Group oriented guild on your server. At least until you re-aquaint yourself with EQ and familiarize yourself with the new zones/quests. A casual guild often has players that will help out players returning to the game and offer them some decent gear that is tradable so the new mobs don't wipe the floor with you.

No one plays 24/7…some get pretty close. But on those off days or hours make a trader and put him up while at work or family outings. Pay attention to general chat and find patterns that show what people are buying or what is being sold too much and find your niche.
Example: Armourcarr started by selling ground spawns. Yew leaves and Misty Acorns. When enough plat was raised I bought a fungi (cheap) and sold it for a profit and bought again. In fact the Bazaar is a game in itself. But like in life, most of us do not get things handed to us and it takes a little time and research. You can always try begging or joining a guild that would be glad to help you.
Good luck and have fun,

well in my case i just grind to a zone i can fight with (specially to zone that drops spells and other stuffs ... other stuffs like combinable items for the tradeskill addicts) at your level my best bet would be the Vald zone... good hot zone easy spell farming at the Royals... some good spells worth like easy 20k and if you have the bag space collecting runes (paper for research) or pelts and ores for smithing and tailoring results big cash if you bring it to baz barter mode
