Another question.....many times I will use Arc of Arrow shot that covers a wide area, and nothing will be seen.....It is so frustrating. It is a great area spell to make rangers great at DPS. Just wanting to know why is it so out of controll? TY Friends
Also, I am at 82 and need some ideas on how to get to 85 and get new spells....mainly as solo with a cleric merc. Been at the farm grinding aa for quite a while; ready to slam to 85!! Wheeeee TY

You should duo with your merc in FoS or Tosk, killing the pigs.

AoA only hits things that are directly infront of you. Its a beam that goes out straight more so then a cone. and make sure your not Facing directly North East South or West as it will not land then either.

Is this the same for hail of arrows?
Yes, Arc is the upgrade to Hail, and they all follow the same spell mechanics.
