I entered PoF....went to wall; tried to get into building area. Went to little islands ti find eay up invis., no dice. :-( Want to grind some aa at lvl 82; eventually getting to 85. Please help me friends. Drives me crazy!! Also, new ideas on where a Ranger can go to get 85 solo would be appriciated! Have geat that gives me 18.5 HP AC, 2700 AC, and 2300 Attack. I enjoy the ranger but need help to go from 750 aa to 1K, and get to 85. Ty again! Enjoy EQ!! :-)

Easiest way to get there is to ask a guildy to guide you, I assume you're in a hurry to get to 85 and 1k aa's so you can join a raiding guild.
When you zone into PoFire, levi and invis. Follow right wall staying as high up on the wall as you can. Once you can see the first building (C1 of castle 1) you want to run straight out over the upper corner. Run down a flight of stairs and about 1/2 way across the walkway you are on. Go across the courtyard exiting C1 and hug the right wall again until you see the second castle or C2.
There are see invis mobs at c2 but you can start killing your way inside at this point.
Note that all the normal mobs inside C2 are 68, don't summon and are headshottable. There can be named in that area which used to be raid mobs which will give you trouble but pretty much everything on the ground and first level will be your targets.
On several servers C2 is permacamed by rangers selling aa/pl'ing services so good luck.

I believe you can also swim throught the lava to the door. I haven't actually tired this as I always levi over, but there is a path/cave under the lava with door. The door is not locked going out, might be going in:)
You can indeed swim throught the lava in eaiter direction but there will amost always be a few see invis mobs in the way.
