Was rooting about me storage alt and found a Shiny Brass Idol with 1 charge of DA on it. Haven't been to The Hole in a while and figured I'd rather take the shortcut if it's still possible--anyone know?

You can also use Shadow Step to do it. I know there's a pot you can use that has the SStep effect but I forgot the name or how to obtain it. May be vendor bought, possible shaman crafted, might be a drop.
You cant cast it before you zone like you used to. You have to fall in the hole and cast it as soon as you zone in to the hole and before you land.

Aye, I learned that the hard way once but it only took the one try. If you're working your pally epic 1.0 this is certainly my preferred run. I tried this technique after hearing it prevented falling damage and the number of mobs at a time is far more manageable from the bottom up. Made this run numerous times over the course of a month, almost once per day. Got around 1k PP and 1 AA at lvl 70 per run. There was a third method of safely reaching the bottom of The Hole but I can't for the life of me remember what it was.
