No new hotzones?Follow

I was really hoping for new hotzones this patch. No luck. Has anyone heard when they might be coming?

They could keep Vald as a the 70 hotzone imo. That would be nice, but alas I'm sure they won't.

Dreadspire was a terrible choice for a hot zone so won't be sorry to see it go. Same for CoD. Bad bad choice for a hot zone as there really isn't room for more than a couple camps AND you need to fight thru one camp to get to another which is a pain in the *** and takes that camps mobs. Real smart there Sony. Ever play those hot zones before you chose them? I have my doubts.

Benefits of Mons over some of the other ones:

1) Easy to get to vs. DSK w/o invitation which you can only get inside DSK.

2) At least five good camp spots: the two zone lines, the Thought Horror caves, and the spire base and top, only one of which being the spire base, would someone come plowing over your camp to get to another (spire top). Compare this to CoD with basically only two, or maybe three camp spots for level appropriate groups, none of them good, other than the zone-in, and if you can hold the zone-in plus left tunnel, then there is only two camp spots. and the other being right tunnels way in, and there's no real camp, but a moving one to follow the tunnels.

I will agree it, Mons Latalis, is not great. I am also disappointed with how CoD turned out, since as 1 group spot, CoD is awesome hot zone or not, but it's not meant to handle more than two at the very maximum solid groups. DSK's main problem is getting people without invitations there. The zone itself is very fun and challenging, with lots of camp spots, and great drops to hunt for. Vald would be great if the AA xp didn't appear to be nerfed. Regular level XP there is awesome as a hot zone, but AA bites hard, especially for it being a hot zone.

And even compared to TT, Mons is a better pick, and I fully supported that TT was not terribly hard / bad hot zone, just not an ideal pick.

That's enough about the current hot zones, anyone seen any projections on what the new ones are going to be?

DSK would be ok if they would adjust up the exp for the amount of risk involved. I actually like the zone but you need to have a puller every time you go or run the risk of 5 mobs on you at almost every place you try to pull beyond the entrance. It is just plain easier to go to Vald and pull up one or two mobs at a time even if the exp isn't the greatest.

I would like to see Loping Plains on the next hot zone. Lots of camps and missions for added exp. Even some of the gear that drops is still pretty decent.

As far as lower lvl zones I don't know. I never really go there unless I make a new char. But I would hope they try to keep them somewhat close and quick to get to. Nothing like having to run for a half hour to get to a hot zone huh? LOL.

I have never had the chance to fight in CoD as a hot zone. LOL. Every single time I went in it was all camped up so I gave up on it.
