Benefits of Mons over some of the other ones:
1) Easy to get to vs. DSK w/o invitation which you can only get inside DSK.
2) At least five good camp spots: the two zone lines, the Thought Horror caves, and the spire base and top, only one of which being the spire base, would someone come plowing over your camp to get to another (spire top). Compare this to CoD with basically only two, or maybe three camp spots for level appropriate groups, none of them good, other than the zone-in, and if you can hold the zone-in plus left tunnel, then there is only two camp spots. and the other being right tunnels way in, and there's no real camp, but a moving one to follow the tunnels.
I will agree it, Mons Latalis, is not great. I am also disappointed with how CoD turned out, since as 1 group spot, CoD is awesome hot zone or not, but it's not meant to handle more than two at the very maximum solid groups. DSK's main problem is getting people without invitations there. The zone itself is very fun and challenging, with lots of camp spots, and great drops to hunt for. Vald would be great if the AA xp didn't appear to be nerfed. Regular level XP there is awesome as a hot zone, but AA bites hard, especially for it being a hot zone.
And even compared to TT, Mons is a better pick, and I fully supported that TT was not terribly hard / bad hot zone, just not an ideal pick.
That's enough about the current hot zones, anyone seen any projections on what the new ones are going to be?
