Thinking of returning or playing on the new 51/50 server? Follow

#1 May 31 2009 at 3:05 PM Rating: Decent
Hello all. I played EQ1 years ago, quitting back in 2003, and I haven't found a game that comes close yet. I've been fortunate enough to be with the same guild throughout my gaming experience, and its always been fun; the people were great, but it was the game itself that was lacking.

We started out in EQ1 on Brell, formed <Pandemonium> in EQ2 on the Venekor server, and took off from there. We have since crushed AoC, WoW, Darkfall, etc... But it just wasn't the same.

We will be forming up on the new 51/50 server and playing the classics for nostalgia. We are planning on leveling upto 65 and raiding all the stuff you loved years ago, then progress in level from there. After all, if its not challenging it's just NOT fun. I remember actually having fun taking down dragons in NToV, getting hit by that HORRIBLE curse from Arch Lich Rhag'Zadune, being mauled by the Avatar of War, and racing to kill all 4 Dark Masters in the Umbral Planes to spawn Doomshade... We want to do this again.

If you wanted to just hit level 85 and mow through stuff intended to be raided by players 20 levels below you stay on an old server and have at it, but if you want to come back and play the game as it was intended check us out at http://www.addictguild.com .

I might be interested. Does your guild support multiboxers? How would your guild support it DKP wise? I play 6 toons and think it would be fun to box old content raid style. :)

Ya, we support boxers... I myself will be boxing around a Wizzy most likely. DKP etc is mentioned on the guild forums, but for the sake of instant gratification and recruitment interest: If you are able to successfully play 2 characters at once in a raid and not cause any issues the player has earned the DKP. That being said, we will be running a joint dkp-council system that awards drops in a way that is both fair and most beneficial to the guild. IE) an ALL/ALL item with FT and a ton of Wis drops... Well thats going to a healer, end of story.

Check out the forum and if you dig it, post a hello message.

Count me in... I am looking to play a caster or two (the thought of having all the spells up to 51 makes the thought of playing one actually exciting )

Looking forward to playing and being a part of this.

This is the big question everyone is asking atm. No word on release yet and its been more then a month since they decided on this server.

Atleast this is what i found searching the net...

So the recruitment drive is going well...

We've got 34 solid characters signed up and a few more still deciding on what class to play. We should be doing real raid targets within a week of the server launch. Check the forums out @ http://www.addictguild.com

Currently we are looking for a couple more Druids and DPS classes, though Clerics and Knights are welcome as well.

Whats the level and AA restrictions for the guild since you guys are starting with old world content? Level 60?
#12 Jun 12 2009 at 11:38 AM Rating: Decent
We'll cut off leveling xp at 65 for a while. Once we are through with PoTime and whatever else we can manage to do at 65 we'll bump up to 70, crush that content, and proceed again.

With regard to AA, feel free to get as many as you like~
I do ask that in spending them you think of the guilds needs before your own. IE) if you're a SK (using this b/c it's what I was in EQ1 years ago) go for the improved HT AAs and the defensive stuff before you go getting that sweet, sweet horse.

Hey is this guild still happening? I've been thinking of moving to the new server and I'd love to go through it like you said.
