So does anyone know of a decent parser that I can download from sonewhere. I have a heard of a couple, but am unsure which is the better choice.

Thanks.

Choice depends on exactly what you want it to do. If you want it to parse while you're playing will limit your selection some. If you want it to use text-to-speech feature to audibly tell you each fight stats as your playing, again another limitation.

Personally, I only parse out of game, as I generally have more than enough stuff running to parse while I'm playing, especially for events I want parsed, which is generally raid events. Trying to run a while you play parser that speaks to you, while on a raid with 6-10 other applications running, is way more than any of my current computers can handle (especially if team-speak / ventrillo / etc. is running, but even without those, as I don't like using them on raids .. even with many visual difficulties, hot keys and reading text is faster, and keeps you more focused on the game ... and there are alot of distracting people in vent / ts generally, ramblign on about some RL thing or making jokes not related to the event your working on).

Oops, sorry for the rant about TS / Vent, just wanted to voice my opinion, and distract you from the point. :D

Anyway, YALP I like really well, it takes some time to get used to the reports, but has several features I really like. YALP is suppose to be able to monitor while in-game and paste results to your Notes window, iirc, but I've never used it. I can't remember if EQWatcher is a parser also, but I believe it is, and will speak to you, on more than just parsing, including important things you'd want audio triggers for.

GamParse is another I remember, but as I haven't done alot of parsing in over a year, I don't really recall that many. There alot of them though, and these three are still available, and definitley the last two are still being updated.
