On the left is a set of menus. Near the top is a field labled 'Search'. I typed in Festive Doll and this is where it leads.

If You are looking to get one .... just go into the Nexus and see the npc standing near the base of the stairs across from the hall that leads to the Bazaar. She has other goodies for free.

Hmmm...I went up to her and hailed her and used a few words and got a bag and a book with clues in it...was baffled and thought maybe I missed something on the free part. But I take it you guys mean to click her like a vendor and I'll be able to buy it for free?

Also the vendor as soon as you port into Plane of Tranquilty from PoK...close to book. click on like you are buying some of his wares. Doll is in his inventory. He will disapear after Anniversary Celebration is over. Also for those who are so Lazy. On my Vendor Trader Armoucarr, Zek Bazaar for only a mere 1k...5x+ less inexpensive then my competition as of 03/20/09 am. The little Green Gnome in the Red Emerald room of the Bazaar.

The festive doll isn't quested. It's sold for free from the Nexus NPC. Just right click on her and you'll see it.

2 for sale in the bazaar. One for 5k and the other for 25k. Shameful.
#10 Mar 21 2009 at 8:47 AM Rating: Decent
I can understand it going on sale for that much after Fableds are over. But, during Fableds when the dolls are FREE, it is shameful!

That's the luclin collection quest. You get 10 collectors items that drop around the expansion, combine it in the bag and turn it in for a reward. One year for example, the reward was a 10 shot double XP potion (I don't think it was the Luclin one though.)

Hard to display morals when there is no public examples. ALL Politicians, Celebrities and public media even from the highest office of President take advantage of everyday people and display lack of morals. Like I said only losing 5k virtual plat is better then losing a real dollar and is a cheap lesson. If you want to take a stand on morals a virtual game is a waste of time, even though it is a direct reflection of someone’s real life attitudes. Carry this same zest of morals to your local politics, charities and or church. But back to game, no one is twisting that persons arm to buy doll, No virtual gun is held to his head, and I believe with tools like this site, general chat and a little elbow grease a player wanting a doll could find that it is FREE. So to be lazy cost him 5k so be it... I am glad he paid for it, and I bet he is glad he has the item.

Why do we have to look to others for example? Why can't we be the ones who lead others by example? Have we all become sheep?

IMO ripping off the players who know the least about the game makes someone a low life. While I know it will continue to happen I will continue to make it socially unacceptable for the sub par people who do it.

In short they have the right to do it but I have the right to call them scum.

Problem is where is a brand new player of low level going to get the plat to buy something for 5k?
Those who would pay that much for something are not usually brand new naive players who know nothing. Unless they knew enough to go online to buy plat. I think then they aren't exactly naive? <shrug>

It is a trick to offer them for sale when they are free, but then on Povar if someone tries to sell one in chat channels they are quickly put down by folks who will say its a rip off. On the other hand there are 3 dolls for about 4 k and one for 15k for sale now. I think the 15k doll has been up at that price since before the anniversary.

And what makes you so righteous, Broomsticker.
like I said, no one is twisting their arm to buy them. But for you to call them scum for selling a item in the bazaar, makes me think you are the idiot you sound like. And I have this right also.

Because it's wrong and it is obvious no one has taught you that. What do you do when you are not playing? Scam old people out of their life savings? BTW that is also wrong to do.

it is not wrong. The Bazaar is a FREE market. One of the best examples of a free market. There are lot of tools that a player has that would give him information.
Example would be asking in general "Price Check on Festive Doll" and I am sure someone would tell them it is FREE and where the can go to get it. On the other hand I see that you didn't offer to give them yours and wish him "good will and safe passage" and go get yourself another FREE doll. So tell me where is this righteous quality? hmmmm?

I see where you are coming from. Although the world seems to be going to **** you can't give up. That is what they want you to do. That is what they are expecting you to do.

Stand up! Take a stand. Draw a line in the sand that you wont cross because you think it is the right thing to do.

Stand for freedom and honesty and speak out when they try to take it away.

Anyone who'd pay thousands of platinum for a no-hp/AC/mana item with only stats deserves what they get anyway. Aside from a cheap (well, free) "twink" item* when you're feeling too lazy to camp/buy a decent range slot item, they're pretty worthless.

*I guess since anyone can get one for free, it's not really twinking

Broomsticker, you know what else I do? In Bazaar lot of vendors don't know NPC buy back pricing. They mark items example some Tomes like 500p and if you buy from them and sell to NPC vendor just down stairs the Vendor gives me BACK 1000+ plat.
I know I should write this Bazaar Trader an email and tell him that he is selling his items too cheap.........NOT.....you guys need to quit playing an Ostidge. One of the best teaching tools is learning by your mistakes. Again no one made the person buy an item...he did it on his own....No one told the vendor what to charge for his item, he marked it on his own. Ignorance is bliss... as far as the Trader knows he made some plat. He is happy. I invested some plat and doubled it. I am happy. We are all happy in our little EQ world. SEE ALL THE SMILES. It's not dishonest it is not cheating, it is just the way it is.....now if I blacked mailed the guy, Held a virtual sword to his neck or twisted his arm to buy the item then that would be different story. Or Maybe even lied to him and told him that they can only be purchased on my Trader. But this is not the case. An item sits on Trader, Buyer clicks on item and okies it.... Simple honest transaction IMO.

When I was younger I used to climb for a living. My partner trusted me with his life at the other end of the rope. I teach scuba for a part time job another trusted endevour. I Umpire College Softball, NFHS Women, ASA girls and Adult Recreation, have been invited and participated in Three National level tournaments. I keep the intergrity of the Game. So about this scamming of old people, you seem to know so much about it...do you Participate? You sir, are the one in question.
