Has Sony mentioned they were doing any PoP fableds? Would love to get into that.

Since my character is high enough this year, I'm looking forward to killing lots of stuff.

PoP Fabled were introduced last year. They will be appearing again this year along with all the Fabled prior to PoP.

PoP is also the last expansion that will see Fableds. In other words, no GoD or OOW fabled, etc.

Did they give a reason why? The scripting was hard to get around?

The issue we have is that after Planes of Power, EQ finally got scripts.

The fabled in Planes of Power and before actually use a script to over-ride the normal stats and buff up the NPC, perhaps add a new ability or two.

This will not work on NPC's that are already scripted.

This changes it to a need to highly modify a script, that probably no-one currently here has even ever looked at, much less touched. Doing this is MUCH more time consuming, and much more prone to error. This makes it a MUCH larger time investment that we have to balance against all of the other demands for our time.

In the end, what this means is that we are not likely to make expansion past Planes of Power Fabled. As for going back and "re-fabling" older fabled up to current max, that is a possibility, but at this point speculation as it is a year in our future.

Yes.

Yes, it starts March 16. Also, they will be upgrading some of the older fabled drops. Should be a fun time!

It is the same as last year probably. They can patch the fabled stuff but it wont go active until they turn the switch. Same as ending fabled.

Im pretty confident they will eventually go past the POP fables.... But for now I cant wait.. I want to see if I can help anyone get some fabled jboots.. I like hleping people.. Also the Fabled Granix earring really isnt that great (the effect has half the time limit on it 15minutes vs the normal versions 30..) while the effect is better its annoying to have to constantly click it.. but Ill still get it for fun..
#12 Mar 09 2009 at 12:05 PM Rating: Decent
It's still a decent lil insta-clicky for those lovely dispelling encounters.

2 classic zones were already super sized. I vote for some Kunark loving, maybe Kaesora and Karnor's Castle.

Emergency patch was to correct some server instability caused by the time change in the US last weekend.

Agreed. Fabled events were a fun way to re-visit old places and monsters. If the "upgrading" of a few older Fabled mobs means giving new life to the early ones that could be fun. Last year there wasn't a great deal for the non-raiding guilds to see in Fabled PoP.

To be honest, however, I would like to see some more original anniversary events vs. just Fabled. From the tid bits I have heard, that is perhaps in the works. Let us hope. :)

There is also a Fabled pet weapon for Berserkers, even though they do not have a non-fabled equivalent.
