Wow, the XP bonus in HOT zones is pretty phenomenal. I wonder if they upped it in recent months since I don't remember it being so good.

I was foolin' around making a new toon on Stromm, for kicks, and at 35 my warrior can get 20% of AN ENTIRE LEVEL'S XP from soloing one yellow. That's in The Overthere. Even dark blue mobs give 8-9% regular XP. Soloing a yellow isn't that tough with decent gear and especially potions (yum damage shields.)

That's almost TOO fast since you can fly through the 20s and 30s---5 kills per level is too fast, methinks. This is better than WoW's Refer-a-Friend triple XP bonus and WoW gets criticized for making things too easy.

And this is without using LoTD or Adventure potions.

I'm not really complaining just wondering what others think about this fast an XP pace. I actually made a new toon just to re-experience the "original" game and the Old World zones but the "drive to level" is so strong that I'm rapidly running through the ole zones...

You should of tried Blightfire Moors as a hot zone. I had made a wizard and went 1-46 in a single day. It's nothing like it used to be

I had the same scenario, where I took my lvl 35 chanter to The Overthere about 2 weeks ago. Soloing yellows did take my average geared chanter a fair amount of effort. But I was also amazed at the XP, which was as Sippin says, about 20% XP per kill on yellows. I didn't spend a lot of time there, medding after ever kill and ended on lvl 38.

Back when Stone Hive was a HZ, I had a necro he was I think 30 or 31 and I soloed mobs at the entrance and got him to 44 within an hour and a half

I have a 67 monk/shm duo team I use with a CLR merc. Where is a good place for me to set up camp in this zone to pull safely to, and also has a zone out nearby where I can run my SHM to if I get into trouble?

Stoneroot is a Hotzone, but I can't seem to find a good camp.

When it comes to leveling regular xp, mowing down light blues seems to yield faster levels than higher cons. When it comes to leveling AA xp dark blues are a lot better, you seem to get double AA xp for a dark blue con vs light blue. This is speaking as level 70 casual geared player. The spiders in stoneroot falls are 66 to 67. They all go light blue at 73 except for the hunters and named ones. Depths mobs have more hps than omens mobs. I would look for a place with a lot 59 to 61 ish mobs and beat them down if your leveling regular xp. Try creaming nobles causeway mobs, seems all omens zones have a nice zem to them.
