Update: takes about 5 min....and there is a part at the end you can express yourself. If you do not have anything yourself to write to them. May I suggest telling them to enhance in game population, and an avenue for that might be advertising game and making it available in retail stores. (hint)

It is a good survey and I did do a comment.

The main reason you do not see EQ in retail stores like Game Stop is that PC games, which did covered an entire wall in Game Stop at one time, now take up maybe a two rack bookcase. Space in Best Buy for PC games has dwindled.

I came back after 3 1/2 years a few weeks ago. I bought Seeds online and downloaded because it had all the expansions, no need to try and hunt around town for separate expansions, etc. I would push the ease of doing the Seeds download and the number 15. People like getting a lot of 'stuff' for their money.

I agree on the advertising aspect and I don't know if anyone still reads the gaming magazines since their cost has gone up and our economy is busted.

They could do the TV commercials as WOW does, the Shows circuit (they may already do that).

But you knew of the game before. and after three years you must of noticed a decline in population. Part of the attraction of ALL "On-Line" games is interaction with other, otherwise there would be no need to be on line. We Need population, see thread "Dwindling Population" here, for the game to be healthy. I do not know a better way then to advertise. Like I have said before, SoE does not need a promotional campaigne like Obama's....just a poster, add in magazine and a disk to by from the self. They need to get the game, name out. So I disagree with you on the aspect of a disk in store. Beauty of living in a democracy.

Lol, did I say Don't Put In Stores. I just remarked that the PC Section has dwindled into nothing. Heck, I would hang the boxes from the ceilings of all the stores. Have one of those carboard dispay things as you come in the store.

Do a bunch of videos to put on Youtube.

Out here we have a chain of electronic stores called Fry's probably elsewhere too and they have the largest section of PC games around.

How about a 3 months free trial period.

Heck I don't know. Do know that every day I hear of someone coming back or just starting the game. No the population has dwindled and like FFXI it is a great game.

Re: dwindling - WOW and WAR are both having an inbalance of the amount of servers and trying to consoldate more of them.

Just happy that I thought of EQ over the past months and finally came back and still have a lot of things to relearn.

PS: I like your idea of EQ advertising on WoW sites. Very good.

With the new casual pace, defiant gear, healer mercs etc if WoW players would just try EQ a lot of them would stay I believe.

They would be more pleased with the social dynamic too, less kill stealing etc. When I speak with people that play WoW, so many have never even heard of Everquest due to age of game or whatever. It is sort of like getting someone to play a great PS1 game, no thanks it isn't a shiny PS3 game.

I noticed that too. Seems like WoW is a lot of people's first MMO. That me be a starting place to attract some new players if marketed correctly. They could market EQ as a more advanced MMO for experienced players. Lord knows I don't want the 12 year old crowd again.

Hmm, odd, the EB here has a whole wall of PC games, including EQ and a few expansions.
