Mounts and TrainersFollow

Hi,

Sorry, a few questions because have searched and on trainers I just wonder if there is more or my Ranger goes back to the Glade. So that is question #1.

My Ranger had a warhorse mount but really slow as is the Worg I gave to her.
So, I went and bought her a Tan Chain Bridle Horse but it wont come up. The other two mounts come up and that may be because Worg I claimed on getting back into game and I guess the Warhorse is something I won way back when.

Do I need to train for that somewhere or spell somewhere?

Last question, is there a macro to make you mount and dismount your horse or whatever that can be put on hotkey bar. I got my Pally's Holy Steed up and on there for still a pain for dismount and my Ranger needs for mount and dismount too.

Thanks. Oh, am wandering old zones and finding way around fairly well and in General in one zone player asked a question got reply and said that he had come back after three years (hehe, sort of like me).

Sorry, for all the questions but I dont have my things anymore and going by what I can find ingame and on the web. Am making lists of names I need and such as I go.

Okay, is the reason I cant summon is that I bought a Tan Chain Bridle for my Ranger instead of a Tan Leather Bridle?

Place the chain bridle in your ammo slot and just right click on it. I'm pretty sure it works from an inventory slot as well but only my mage has a bridle and she doesn't use her ammo slots so there it goes. Keep in mind that mounts use up a buff slot so if your ranger is fully buffed, you'll need to click one off before you mount up. This can easily happen if you insist on using every one of your stat buff spells, etc.

There's no hotkey to dismount that I know of. Just click off the spell buff to dismount. You can place the bridle into the inventory slot and then drag that onto your hotbar for easy clicking to mount up but you'll still need to click off the buff to dismount. Getting off a horse takes some work Smiley: wink2

Bridle "types" signify the mount speed, not what classes can use it. They go, from slowest to fastest: Rope - Leather - Chain - Silk. Rope is barely faster than running and Silk is near Selo's/Knight mount speed*. The other two are portions thereof.

*Or maybe silk is knight mount speed or whatever. Once you get up near that speed, the difference becomes largely academic

You need advanced models on for your Sex, Race and Mounts checked under the Options program OptionsEditor.exe in your default Everquest directory to get normal mounts to work. Many of the alternative mounts work without advanced models on.

There are 3 Guild Masters (Trainers) for every class in PoK, and 1 in ever start city for the class. Thus for Rangers, Kelethin (Greater Faydark), Rivervale, Surefall Glade, and Crescent Reach. You can find them via Find (Ctrl+F) once in the appropriate zone.

/dismount is the command to dismount, and also how to interrupt spells on a mount.

Okay, thanks. The Problem was and it worked this way for my Pally and for the warhorse and worg to put in open inventory spot and click on it. That is why I thought it would work for my new horse for my Ranger. Nope, and I can's give up the ammo slot. Well, will get this going I hope.

Thanks to both of you
