Upon cleaning my office space the last few days, I stumbled across some cd-roms in a box in the closet. On these disks, were eq screenshots taken from the various computers Ive played on over the years. Looking at the screenshots, brought back some memories, both good and bad.

I saw toons I had created and deleted for whatever reason. Like my half-elf rnja who was 30-something, but I spent days kiting stuff in South KArana with the bow. He was deleted because he seemed stupid, seemed to skill-up slow and I honestly made him wrong. I intended to reroll him, but ended up with a mage instead.

So, this got me wondering if I was the only one who deleted a toon, and regretted it. Anyone else make a toon, like it, only to delete it for something else? And now, want to delete another toon, just to remake it? lol.

OMG...I see me buying yet another account...../sigh

One of my first "real" characters was a cleric back on Saryrn. Unfortunately, he was on my ex's account (prior to her being my ex, naturally) back when we shared one. I only made it to level 35 or so but this was back during Classic/Kunark so level 35 was a chore. When I got my own account, I decided to try a bard instead.

I've tried clerics since then but it's never been the same and I've never taken one past lvl 14, even with today's ridiculously easy leveling.

I regret having deleted my erudite cleric that was originally on Sullon Zek before the merges started. Would've been badass to have "of Sullon Zek" next to my name forever.

I seriously regret deleting my first character... I started on day servers went live.. and created teh First Gnome Warrior on Xegony... I played him for 1 day then deleted and recreated him (had stats in agi/dex wanted to do str instead) and I played that character all the way to 13... I then deleted him (wanted to keep name I was playing)... too this day I regret that decision,... I wish I still had my Gnome.. /cry.....

My first charecter on Vallon Zek...a barbarian shaman named Bigpapa...Smiley: lol

Ran him all the way to freeport, only to die at the gate...so had to run to Freeport twice ( cause all my friends were there )

He was the same guy who died to the troll guards in Innuthule...missed the entry for Guk...Smiley: banghead

I guess I wish I had him cause he was a reminder of all those kind of stories...the newbie stories of learning the game.

Plus the name was great when you type /flex...used to do that on the wiz spire in North Ro for onlookers...Smiley: eekSmiley: dubiousSmiley: lol

I do still regret my first real decently levelled paladin, after creating a few and stop playing them after ten levels or so, that paladin was the first I got over lvl 50. After some serious problems getting online that lasted for weeks, I decided to call it quits and stupidly enough deleted him.

A year later, coming back, I was even dumber to create a new character with the same name, lol, now that first character is gone forever as Sony can only undelete the last character with that name.

Ah well, redoing all those levels wasn't bad either, got me to Unrest again and in touch with all the changes in the game.

I missed playing the mage Erran Gobragh, my first toon on Cazic, so I did create a mage again on Povar with the same name.
I had so much trouble starting as a mage and losing the corpses, back in 2000, that I had actually deleted Erran 3 times previously just to start over.
Got him to 22 and ran into the thing called research. At about the same time I started Jonwin on the Morrel Thule server and stuck with him. Erran was later deleted on cazic so that Elne's daughter could create a Vahshir toon.
Current Erran is 34? Havent played him in over a month, as I still don't want to look at research.
