Diablo 1 and 2
the Age of Empires series (doesn't really fit, but I'm a big fan)

Like any 80's-born kid, I always considered myself a console gamer until more recently.

I started out on a C-64, then got into PC gaming. Saved the consoles for much more recently.

For old c-64: Temple of Apshai

My first game was Pong, I wonder what happened to that console. After that came PacMan, and all it's renditions. Then in 1984, we bought our first computer, and got into a simple game called "Rogue". It had letters standing for monsters; O for orc, S for snake, etc. You were a "x" I believe moving thru a hidden maze and had to kill the monsters that you came across, and "discover" the maze as you went thru it. I think there were 20 some levels, and I never got past level 17. Still wish I could beat it, but not sure where I got the game to start with, or if it even exists anymore. I couldn't get past the basement on the Zork game, of course I never knew the object of the game either, having acquired the game who knows where. Then it was a Star Trek game, the Kings Quest series and other Sierra games. Diablo, Empire, Civ, and tons of others. And now EQ, which has absorbed a lot of my spare time for the past 8 years. I love it and hope it doesn't end.

I also remember Temple of Apshai.

I forgot to mention Faxanadu on my earlier post.
