Escorting Dark Elf Slave in Mines of GloomingdeepFollow

I know this is a dumb question, but I'm stuck for some reason.

We're supposed to escort the Dark Elf Slave in the Mines of Gloomingdeep for a piece of iron or something like that. We found her before we knew the mission and escorted her part of the way then died. Now when we try to escort her she says No she's afraid of getting her arms chopped off.. .so does every slave we ask to escort. What can I do to be able to escort her and complete this mission. Im just starting back up on EQ and this is super frusterating because it's like the first mission and I can't get past it. Thanks for all your help!!!!!!
